Does anyone know of any great things to do in or around Wisconsin Dells?

I am going there in June and I've found a few things that sound like fun.

What can I do next?

Devil's Lake State Park is about 15 minutes away and is GORGEOUS. Great beaches, hiking trails, places to grill, boats to rent. It is really worth going even for a few hours.

They have a lot of cool places.

Ripley's Believe it or Not.
Top Secret ( everything in it is upside down.)
They have Western Photo shops
You can mine for gems ( I would skip that one personally)
4D Movie theater
Gator World ( I think that's what its called, you can go and hold and feed live gators)
Zip lines
Circus World
Army Duck/ many boat tours
Tommy Bartlet ski shows/ tommy bartlet exploratory

They do have a spa.. but I personally thought it was pricey! Maybe its not compared to other places... but for me it was.

There is shops that make fudge right there in the shop... even if you don't buy anything, I recommend walking through them! I don't like fudge, but the smell was amazing!

They also have a cute candy store there.

Plus there is Noah's Arc if you like the water parks.

There is plenty to do there! If you look around on the web you can find some great deals and coupons to alot of places.

We just went and stayed at the wilderness hotel and resort - I do NOT recommend it -it's way, way too big. I would go to the Great Wolf next time.

When we go, we always stay at Great Wolf Lodge. We've never done anything outside of the resort. The kids just want to ride the water slides all day.

Like others have said, Devils Lake is beautiful! Nice beach/swimming area, hiking trails, camping.

Will you be there with kids? If so...
-ride The Ducks
-Circus World Museum
-Noahs Ark

If you plan to stay at a water park resort, I think Great Wolf Lodge is nice. They have a water park that my kids ages 8 & 6 love. We recently stayed at Wilderness. It is VERY spread out. A lot of walking and a lot of their indoor water park was too intense for my kids. The outdoor looked nice, but we were there in December, so not open.

I second the notion of going to Devils Lake. They have a really cute campsite where you can do tent or trailer camping, canoe rentals in their awesomely clean little lake with a great swimming beach, nearby horseback riding available--great memories of taking my husband there for his first ever camping experience of his life :) I think it was the last truly peaceful time we ever spent together before life got crazy busy. Enjoy your trip--the Dells area is great!

(I just bought a really cheap used REI tent from eBay for like $50--didn't even bring stuff to cook--drove into town to eat at the local mom & pop restaurants. The only camping supplies we brought were the tent, bug spray, sleeping bags, cooler with ice & fresh water, and Smores ingredients & marshmallow roasters.)

I went to this crazy place years ago called "the house on the rock"

It is still there. Plan a whole day, be afraid, be amazed, be amused.
