Window-washer

Hi,
Does anyone know of a good window-washer? And what is a reasonable price to pay for the job?
I just hired my neighbor's help. He asked $40 but later refused to do the back top windows because of the solar screens (which come off easily) and took the $40 anyway saying he would've cleaned if they were regular screens. I had to take out the lower solar screens for him. Now I feel I got ripped off. Or did I? He washed the front and side windows and lower windows in the backyard. 12 in total.

What do you all think? Thanks and also thanks in advance for any referrals.

A normal price is from 4 to 5 dollars a window. The more you have, the price usually goes down. It's usually after a minimum of at least 10.

I've used Tommy Greene with Just Windows. He is priced great, very friendly and great work. I highly recommend him. I think $3-4 per window outside or $5 per window inside and outside. He is bonded and insured.

They do everything to do with windows. My neighbor owns this company and I know that they work their tails off. They don't have any problems removing the screens to wash them and it doesn't matter how high up the windows are.

Sounds pretty good as I paid about $200 to get my windows cleaned. More than 12 though.

I've never hired my windows cleaned, but I think $40 for 12 windows sounds about right. You might have wanted to get it in writing what he was going to do for the $40 before you paid him. Hope this doesn't strain your relationship with your neighbor - it is only $40 bucks.

You got it done very cheap. Most will make you take off the solar screens before they'll clean. Some will do it for you but charge you more.

Last time I had it done it was about $180.
