My mom needs a copy of her credit report to rent an apartment. I went to freecreditreport.com and experian.com but apparently they aren't free anymore. They sign you up on a monthly thing for $14.95 a month and I'm affraid it'll ba a hassle to cancel later.

Has anyone used another reputable website they can recommend?

Thanks,

S.

This is a site where you can get a free copy of your credit report once per year from the 3 major reporting companies. You won't be able to get your credit score, but you will be able to review your credit report and see what companies have searched your credit!

You are entitled to one free credit report per year from all three credit reporting companies. You can get them on this website by answering a couple questions about yourself.

freecreditreport.com Now I'll be singing that commercial all day! lol
Oops, I guess I should have finished reading your question, sorry! Try experian.com, I think they still do it.

Just Google 'free credit report'. There are several places where you can get a free copy of your credit report...you just don't get any added features (like your credit score) without paying something extra. It lists any delinquencies, so should be adequate for an apartment rental.

I know all of the big three bureaus have options for free or low cost basic reports....experian, transunion, and equifax.

don't do free credit report.com.... because they start charging for all this other stuff.. my boss did this.. and then he started to get all this other stuff from the and all these bills.. so don't do it.. try looking up the three credit places... ie... experian.com is one of them.. go on it.. you (I think call a phone number on the website and they send you the free report) .. good luck... they are the credit specialist that the USA and IRS
uses.... and the one that Money Magazine says to use.. the others.. you don't who run them and what they will do once you give them your SS #.. so try this one..

If you need just the credit report with no score go to annualcreditreport.com you can get one free each year and it will be all 3 reports. If you need your credit score you can go to freecreditreport.com, they have the free trial like you were talking about and I actually did it YESTERDAY!! lol. I got my score and than immediatly canceled. I called and they try and tell you they'll give you discounts blah blah and you just tell them no you want to cancel and that was it! It was easier than I thought!
Good luck!

Federal trade comminsion offers ABSOLUTELY FREE credit reports, which you are entitled to recieve once per year at your request. You log on to their site and enter in your information (which is completely secure) and then you go directly to one of the three credit reporting bureaus sites from there. Keep in mind you will need to print it right then, so have access to a printer.

We needed to do this recently and I can assure you it was FREE!!!
