What to Do with All of the past Season's Dance Costumes?

My daughter is accumulating quite a collection of dance costumes. I hate just throwing them away and would love to sell them to a soloist, or find a place to donate them.

Any ideas for me?

What can I do next?

Some cities have dance programs. I know the city of Taylor has one and they would maybe take them to give out to families who can't afford new dance outfits. Let me know if you would like to do that since my daughter does dance there, I could talk to the people.

I'm working with parents at FemFatale Dance Studio in Southfield, MI -- we are in need of old dance costumes for ages 5-18 (boys & girls). If you are interested in donating we would be more than happy to pickup items or feel free to call me and I will provide an address for dropoff or delivery -- we intend on recycling the costumes for students in need. I would appreciate your passing this info. along to friends and family.

Have you thought about selling them on craigslist.org. Or you could donate them to a playgroup or pre-school, or even Salvation Army. My son goes to a head start pre-school and the kids love their dress up clothes that have been donated.

My daughter (age 5) loves to dance. She dresses up in costiumes all day long and dances to music on our CD player. We have one costume from a dance class she was in last year. Mostly she uses princess costumes. If you are looking to get rid of them I would love to have them for my daughter. My email address is ____@____.com.
Thanks,
K.

Cherry Hill Villiage, in Canton has a wonderful theater program, & may buy them from you, & or good place to donate. If the theater, does not want them, check local Churches, & Day Care in your area, they would put the girls costumes to good use, for years to come.

Contact dance academies or groups that put on plays and musicals. Schools too.

Greetings P.,

Here are some ideas for you: You can sell the large collection of dance costumes you have on E-bay or at a Moms to Moms sale. You can donate them to Purple Heart, or Salvation Army. Or you can give them away on freecycle. www.Freecycle.Org. is a recycling site where you can offer things to others you no longer want and ask for what you want. Those interested in what you have will pick up from your porch.
Much success.

Love, peace and joy,
S.
