Well he was a liar, cheat and thief. He was a financial catrastrophy. And, he never did anything to melt my butter. That's why I divorced him.

CRAZY: he repeats things. like if handy manny is on he will sing "handy manny" (that's it, that's all he knows. it's always only one sentence of a song or one verse) as he is getting ready for work. over and over.

BUTTER: he gets up early every morning and packs me a lunch to bring to work, including cooking chicken breast and packing everything into separate baggies so i can assemble a healthy pita pocket at work. He will pack up my computer and lunchbag and everything I need for the day and put it on the table. He also makes the bed, picks up after me, cooks most suppers, vaccumes every few days and is an awesome hands-on dad. and he works full time.

Handy Manny!

He's gone now and would be a hard act to follow. I know there's no such thing as perfect but he came pretty close.

What drove me out of my mind? He travelled too much for work...yes he was very successful...but I would have liked more time.

What made me melt? So many things, but he always remembered my mother on special occasions - birthday, mom's day, valentines day and christmas. He once brought her a coocoo clock when he was travelling in Switzerland.

Needless to say he always remembered me and there were many surprises just for no occasion.

So mamas if you have a good one, let him know how special he is every day.

Blessings...

The one thing that drives me the most crazy is that he digs in his ear for wax and then looks at his finger afterwards and then flicks it if there is something. It is so, so annoying and gross. He also yawns without covering him mouth which I think is really rude, people don't need to see your dental work, always cover your mouth when you yawn. Sorry that was two things but he makes up for those by being a very sensitive guy, he cries during movies, he cries when he hears the grandkids on the phone, he cries when he talks about his mama, he cries when he tells me how blessed he is to have me and is so thanful to God for allowing us to find each other.

What does my husband do that drives me out of my mind? It's so little it's silly....but it makes me see red every time. He leaves his washrag on the bottom of the tub. Now, it sounds like it's not that big a deal. But wait!! He will get another rag the next day and leave THAT one on the bottom of the tub, too. And then the next day and the next day and before you know the whole floor of the tub is littered with washrags and no one can bathe because all the washrags are gone! He shuts the shower curtain, so I forget to look and they never make it into the wash. So, no one has washrags and my man has ALL the washrags.

What he does to make me melt? The kind of dad he is to our kids. My gosh he is such a great dad! He is loving, kind, funny, not afraid to be silly. He will change diapers, give baths, do bedtime, play for hours. Just so attentive. Sometimes, when I am watching him with them, I am so overcome with emotion I actually cry. The good kind of tears. =)

Drives me crazy: It is a toss up between 1) He empties his pockets everywhere and anywhere. I am constantly finding business cards and change ALL OVER the house! 2) When he makes tea, he puts the tea bag in the sink...the garbage is less than a foot away from the sink!

Melts my heart: He lights candles, gives me a massage and tells me how beautiful I am...even when I'm very preggo or just after having a baby!

Drives me crazy:
Forgets something I KNOW I've told him1x or 2x or 3x...it's not usually big things (mostly plans i've made for us)....

Butter:
The way he looks across a crowded room (or restaurant, party, somewhere with other people) and gives me 'that' smile. It's adorable, it's seductive, it's sweet and it tells me I love you...all with his eyes. AND seeing him playing with the kids! So two things - but they both melt my heart equally :)

Drives me nuts- Leaves his dirty clothes right next to his side of the bed when we have a laundry chute right outside our bedroom door! Ahhhh!!! LOL

Melts me- playing with our three kids on the floor. He didn't know who his father was growing up so seeing what an incredible Daddy he is brings tears to my eyes sometimes :)

Drives me crazy: When he eats cereal he pours himself a huge bowl and fills it to the rim with milk, then takes 3 bites max and leaves the rest in the bowl, in the sink...he usually only eats cereal as a "midnight snack" so I am always waking up to a bowl full of soggy mush... ARG!

Melts my heart: It's a toss up...even after 13+ years any time I touch his arms he flexes his muscles because he knows I like it...and then watching him teach our boys how to be men always gets me, like teaching them to hop over a fence by only using your arms and swinging your legs over or when he taught them all how to jump and roll your landing so they don't hurt themselves and anything he does while camping, my hubby is the BEST, SEXIEST camper EVER!!

He picked on me last night trying to make me feel better when i'm sick....wouldn't take the hint, then got made when i went off to the bed room
but normally, he'll agree to a schedule with his kids and ex wife, after telling me he'd stick to something else, then doesn't involve me in HIS decision making...but it's getting better

i love watching him work outside..................mmmm m

My husband takes his shoes/boots off right near the counter where he empties his pockets and plugs in his cell phone. The place where his shoes "belong" is across the room (6 feet away, lol) but he can not seem to get them there no matter how much I tell him it bugs me :)

I absolutely melt when I walk into the room and "catch" him just playing/reading/snuggling/whatever with the kids. I fall in love with him more every day because he is such an amazing dad. I guess that is one of the reasons its easy for me to get past the shoe thing :)

I like eye contact when i'm talking to someone, which he lacks, he could be doing 20 things at once while i'm trying to talk to him, and when I say "are y ou listening?!?" he goes "I don't have to be looking at you to hear you" ahh drives me nuts!

But he does know how to get away with things, like when he knows he's wrong he'll look at me with a ridiculously cute smile and a high pitched "love youuuu!"

Good questions :)

He's ADD, so when he's reading/writing emails or chatting online with friends & I try to talk to him, he doesn't stop what he's doing to look at me while I'm talking! Ugh! He SAYS he's listening, but even if he is hearing what I'm saying, it drives me crazy that he can't at least look at me to acknowledge that he's listing! Even if he's looking at me when I start talking to him he'll turn to his computer or phone grrrrrr

Most times I just stop talking when I feel like he's not listening lol Then he's like "What???"

But to make me melt, his happy surprises :) He's in the Army National Guard, so he's gone a lot. Sometimes he will tell me he will be home in the evening, even call me a few times throughout the day as if he hadn't left yet, then show up hours before he told me he would! LOL Sometimes it's annoying, especially if I make plans to go do something thinking he won't be home til later, so he gets home a few hours before I get back.. blah.

Then the other day he surprised me at work with a vase of roses :) He's leaving for his deployment one week from today, so now I have some roses on my desk with a little note from him :)

CRAZY: Whenever he buys certain items, he has to buy 10 different kinds before he finds the "perfect" one (i.e. his wallet, his tennis racket, etc.). I ask him why he can't just try them out at the store so he doesn't have to waste time and money buying these items and he says he can't tell at the store. Its only after he's tried them for a few days (taken the tag off so you can't return it of course) that he realizes, this and that is wrong with it. ARGH! When I think of all the money thats wasted, it drives me MAD. Oh and also, whenever he goes to the store to pick up goodies, he asks me what I want and I'll say one thing like "Doritoes" but if I change my mind and say, "Actually, can you get me ice cream instead?", he'll say "Sure!" and then return home with Doritoes. =P

BUTTER: Whenever the scrubbing bubbles commercial comes on with the animated dancing bathroom bristle things, he laughs this completely pure & innocent laugh. He sounds 5 when he does it and it's so adorable. Plus, when we're lying in bed and I just snuggle up against him and lay my head on his chest, I feel like I'm home.

Biggest annoyance is when he drives like he his in rush, when there is no excuse to drive like that.
Biggest plus is he rubs my feet with lotion anytime I ask him to.

Drives me nuts: He talks non-stop, from the minute I get home from work til he falls asleep in bed, and once he's asleep, he snores. Loud.

Melts me: He gets home from work first and has all the daily chores done by the time I get home from work. He gives me foot and back massages. He vacuums the whole house on Fridays--I never have to vacuum which is my least favorite chore. He tells me he loves me at least once a day.

Drives me crazy: when he plays "devil's advocate" to help me see someone else's point of view instead of making me feel supported (when I need it). Given, he does it privately, not in front of other people, but when I need a boost, I get the alternative viewpoint. UGGH.

Makes me melt: how he is with our kids and how he supports me when I need some time away. He'll work from home, come home early, make dinner so I can get to a dinner date with a girlfriend and TELLS ME to go spend some money on myself. My friends ask me if he has a single twin brother - LOL.
