I am a huge weight watchers fan and after my baby is born I plan on going back first thing! It really does work. You can opt for doing it only online, but I suggest going to the meetings if you really and truly want to make a go of it. They are only open during meeting times, so find the one closest to you and the times should be listed outside the door. You can sign up and attend your first meeting all at once and you'll receive everything you need then. I really like the plan that allows you to attend the meetings/weigh-ins and go online to track your points. It's a little bit more (around $30/ month I think) but the online tools are great and very worth while. You just have to stick to the plan and it works. Good luck!

Yes, weight watchers works! The best thing about it is that you will be eating healthier than you ever have! No special bars or food to buy and eat...real food from the grocery store! It teaches you how to eat healthy in a way that you can do for the rest of your life. One thing most people don't realize is that you do have to eat in order to keep your metabolism up and lose weight. The points system helps you make sure that you are eating enough for optimum weight loss.
I would suggest going to the meetings...you will learn a ton, not only from the leader, but from the other people attending. You will get your starting materials at your first meeting. The best plan is the monthly pass, which is 39.95 per month. However, once you reach your goal weight and maintain it for 6 weeks, you become a lifetime member & no longer have to pay the fee.
Just give it a try...you won't be disappointed!

I've been an online member of WW since last December. I've lost about 50 lbs and 6 dress sizes. It WORKS so long as you realize it isn't a diet, it is a lifestyle. No weight loss plan is going to work if you don't keep it up. You have to change your mindset. I haven't counted points for several months now simply because I've learned what I SHOULD be eating. I don't recommend that for everyone, but it has worked for me. I also think that you should go to the meetings. The only reason I don't is that my mom and mother in law go, so they are my support system. My husband has lost around 65 lbs since December. You can do it!

I've only done it online, but I loved it and lost a lot of weight. To help you with eating out, there is a great website - Dottie's Weight Loss Zone (dwlz.com) that lists TONS of restaurants and points values for food at each. Even if you don't do weight watchers, the website is a real eye opener!
