Hi Krystal,
Toward the last 10 weeks or so I started counting Saturdays, because that's the only day I have to get stuff done.

Use both, weeks and months. Say I'm 20 weeks, which is about 4 months.

If you are interested in having a free doula - which is educational, informational, and emotional support throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth - let me know.

Yes, pregnancy, and up through about the first 16 weeks of your baby's life are measured in weeks - this is because things change SO rapidly that it makes sense to talk about weeks. Once your babe turns 4 months (16 weeks) old we usually talk about it in months until they're 2, and then in half-years. Besides... it makes it seem like you're making more "progress" when you can tick off each week :)

A normal pregnancy is 40 weeks.. since "calendar months" don't have a consistent amount of weeks, if you did the 4 weeks in a month you are pregnant for 10 mths. =) As someone else said.. general you tell people weeks if they know anything about it.. and you round it out for months if it's someone else.

Weeks. It's how the doctor tracks it, so that's what I did.

If the person you're asking knows about pregnancy, like another mom then say weeks. If it's someone who would get confused- like you Grandma or Uncle I'd say months. But for your own knowledge, go by weeks.

Yes, I know it gets confusing. Right now while you are pregnant go by weeks. Months will be tabulated when your child is born. BUT, I, myself stop the months and weeks count after the child turns two. It just seems silly to me to call a toddler a 34 month old.lol
