I'm in search of a great wagon for my daughter's 2nd birthday. I have a stepson who is almost 5 and well over 50lbs and my daughter is only around 22lbs. I want a wagon to pull both of them in at the zoo, short walks, ect. So something sturdy...what are the best ones you have used. We also have a baby on the way. So maybe something that I can buy the caboose too.

thanks

Oh, and if you have mutiple children when did you tell the older kids about the new baby? Our 5 yr old isn't going to be a happy camper about sharing the spotlight a 2nd time.

What can I do next?

bjs has a fold up wagon for 90, but i would look at the toyrus website. I saw a radio flyer that had an infant little padded seat.

About the baby, we told our 1st born every early. It always takes her a bit to warm up to things. When we needed her out of the toddler bed so we could turn it into a crib we did it about 6 or 7 mths into the pregnancy. She got to pick out the sheets and we had the bed made for a month. She was 3yrs when i got pregnant with my other daughter.

We took the oldest on a mini vacation a few months after her sister was born for a just her time with mommy and daddy. That helped.

radiofyler makes this wooden wagon that is good at holding two kids (its pricey though) alot of wagons will say they hold two kids but they dont. I recently bought a wagon for my 19mnth old and the package says hold two kids. well ,my son is short (30.5in) and I can not imagine another kid fitting in there with him. but it is just the right size for him and his bear

I have one of the common red hard plastic wagons. I have a hard time pulling it with one child. My arm gets tired real fast.

We just bought the Radioflyer Pathfinder wagon for our kids for Christmas and I have to be honest, it is really hard to pull them around. My kids are 3.5 and 16 months, and I cannot pull them up hills or take them for too far of a walk, because it's just too heavy. (and I'm no wimp! Trust me!) So just keep that in mind. They look easy to pull, but they are not. Just wanted to throw that out there for you.

Good luck! As far as the 5 year old goes and the new baby, just make sure he still gets a lot of love and attention...he'll be fine. :)
