The Yeast Connection??

Ok my mom just went to this new doctor who is more on the holistic side and said my mom probably has this yeast problem and has had it for awhile now. We think I possibly have it also and I'm actually going to go see this doctor in a few weeks hoping that she can finally figure out my system and get it under control and not blow me off. Have any of you had experiences with a problem with yeast in your body? What did you do? Thanks!

I've had a lot of issues with it. My favorite remedy is Candex. Gets rid of yeast without die-off reaction. Paired with a good acidophillus, it really makes a difference to me.

A few years ago, I would have not believed there was such a thing, but I believe I am experiencing yeast overgrowth myself. I've had a couple rounds of antibiotics and a dose of corticosteriods in the past 6 months and ever since, I've had a white tongue, irritated throat, and my energy level was really falling. I happened to take a diabetic test (think high amount of sugar feeding the yeast) and after that my gut went wild with gas, pain, bloating and blood/mucus. When Dr declared that my labs were all normal and I was "really very healthy", I asked him, "then why do I feel so terrible?" I felt I could barely drag myself off that exam table and to my car. Days later I abandoned the recommended high carb bland diet and started on the recommended extremely low sugar anti candida diet. Within 2 days I noticed an increase in energy (I was able to take care of my kids in the evenings and not feel like I couldn't get off the couch) and my stomach troubles were decreasing. 5 days later I started taking Kyolic Garlic for Candida Cleanse purchased at Sprouts and experienced typical die off symptoms but was able to make it through with lots of water, hot water with lemon, and hot showers/baths. Now 4 weeks later I'm taking coconut oil and feeling 100% better than before and my gut is back to normal again. I'm still fighting the white tongue and white streaks in back of my throat, but I'm so much better. Don't expect a this to be a quick fix, but if you have this "sick all over" feeling and you've had a lot of antibiotics, birth control pills, or steroids recently, it's worth looking into. The diet is tough, but key to success. Just bought The Yeast Connection Handbook and though my copy is a bit dated, it's worth the money. Best wishes!

hello
yes, had a problem with that for years.. UNTIL.. I , myself began reading up on what causes an over-growth and therefore, what foods to limit and or avoid. That book, the Yeast Connection was one of the books I first read. Additionally and since then, there is a lot on the internet.... most alternative docs will tell you yeast begins in the gut and therefore, limit such and such foods.. it's really not a big mystery as Western Medicine might have you believe.. I can tell you that sugar is big culprit, but there are less obvious agitators of yeast such as, cured products, pickled items, even things like a tea bag can have invisible mold on it which can also add to the yeast problem.. what has worked for me... LOTS of water... but my go to.. Capryl..... that stuffs kills off yeast better than anything I have ever taken. However, you need to take it with lots and lots of water.. (because due to the yeast dying off, it could cause a rash) and that is why you need to drink lots of water. also, as mentioned.. get some of those things out of your diet..
I would suggest that before you spend too much money on doctors... get that book, the Yeast Connection and or other books you might find of interest. limit your sugar intake (both natural and fruit wise) and again, that Capryl gave me big relief. also, don't forget, lots of water... and limit alcohol.. until you have the yeast under control.. that can also make it worse.. it did for me..

best of luck

Before and after menstrual periods is also a time that women are typically yeasty. Track your cycle and be proactive by eating yogurt before, during, and after. It really does help. It also helps curve the appetite by filling you up before big meals.

Yes I have. The thing that helped me the most is MSM and of course acidopholus. I tried a lot of different yeast killers. It took a long time but I was messed up from being on high doses of predesone for a long period of time. It messed up my adrenal and thyroid gland too. But regardless of what yeast killers you use, try MSM. It was life changing for me!!
