Teen with Sever Acne

I had Cystic Acne and the only thing that worked on me was Accutane. I used it in my late teens/early twenties and it was a miracle drug as far as I was concerned. Nothing topical, and I tried almost everything, came even remotely close to what Accutane did for me. The only side effect I can recall was cotton mouth, but I know it's now considered something of a last resort because of problems others have experienced. Maybe your son is too young and that's why the doctor hasn't recommended it yet? It's been almost 20 years for me so maybe it's not even on the market anymore.

Yes, A.....I'm a Herb Specialist and I've helped several teens and adults with acne. The problem is the liver is toxic and needs to be detoxed. Have your precious miracle drink this first thing in the morning on a daily:

1 fresh lemon (squeezed)
1 ounce olive oil
About 1/4 c room temperature water (not tap)

Mix and drink first thing in the morning on the thrid day increase the olive oil to 2 ounces....on the fifth day, go back to 1 ounce of olive oil.

Rest for one week, then repeat.

I have always had VERY oily skin and Proactiv & Clinique both worked for me and helped regulate my skin, now that I am in my early 30's I don't quite have the issues I used to. I had cystic Acne from the time I was 13 till 19. I tried every medicane,cream, anything and everything. The only thing that ended up working was Accutane. It was my last resort but now I wish I had done it earlier. I only ended up having to do one round @ 90 days. I do have scarring from my acne and wish I would have done it earlier.

I highly suggest the Obagi system (http://www.obagi.com/)! My dermatologist put me on this and it is amazing!!!! It is nothing like the systems for teens. It WORKED!
