Hi All!
I have now made a committment to the "Y"...I have all the family signed up for a membership...and I intend to take back my body thru swimming...cardio...and lifting!
I bought an MP3 thingy so I can have 'music to work out' by...I am perplexed about where to go (how to go) to sights that have music I like! lol
My tastes are VERY eclectic...(from old/new broadway showtunes...to classical...to adele... to classic rock and beyond...)
Can anyone help? I have a few CD's...but MISS my OLD RECORDS. I have quite a collection (and I am giving away my age here...lol)...CSNY...cat stevens...james taylor...joni mithchell...fogelberg...carol (e)? king...sly and the family stone...chicago...
And the list goes on...lol
I need some 'good tunes'...with an 'eclectic' feel for warm up...serious reps for lifting...cool down...
Also for running/walking...I assume the cardio will either 'have' music...or not (swimming)...
Any help for me?

I just connect my Ipod to my laptop, bring up Itunes Store or Amazon...it 'sees' your device and shows you how to buy, download music. And let's face it, if I can do it, ANYone can!

I have a feeling you will love it. We haven't done it but you can download some music for money.
I use iTunes for my iPhone and my iPod (the IPod is used for my daughter). They have a great selection of music. Check out their website to see about purchasing and downloading to your MP3. I have found the site is very easy to use, I just have to plug my devise into the computer and it does it for me.
It might be worth it to you to buy a turntable that converts records into MP3s so you can download them to your MP3 player. I bought my husband one from Costco a couple of years ago. It was very easy to use and it was only $99. Otherwise, try Amazon and load all of your music into "the cloud" (online storage that you can access remotely with all kinds of devices). They have a HUGE selection of music and are generally cheaper than iTunes. If all else fails, find some 12 year old to help you - they know everything about technology - LOL!!!
I have found that the library here at least has a wide collection of cd's that you can check out, add to your computer and then add to your mp3 player. Great way to get your old stuff and check out some new sounds as well.
