I just took my last pill of tamiflu wens. night. just curious has anyone else experienced strange symptoms while taking this medication nausea, headaches, etc. but the strange symptom being like depressed or just like not normal/yourself I am very sensitive to meds. but could not believe how this made me me feel like I was literally going crazy or someting was the reaction I was getting from it. so,started searching on the net found actual patient reviews where people experienced the same I typed in " tamiflu and feeling strange' crazy thing they said children and teens are especially worried about as far as depression, going on to say on one sight teens had suicidal type thoughts? anyways, just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences?
thanks ladies.

A girlfriend of mine was just telling me that she took tamiflu and thought she was going crazy. She kept thinking about jumping out the window, and had to tell her husband to keep an eye on her because she was having thoughts of suicide. She was very scared, and she knew something was wrong but felt uncontrolable at the same time. It was very scary for her.

We just finished a round of tamiflu (my husband, kid & myself)...I did see "confusion, depressed" mentioned in one of the rare side effects but donno if it occured to me (as my brain s most of the time frozen with all the stress raising 3 kids), ....But the nausea was too horrible for me.

It's VERY unusual to have these symptoms, but they are a side effect. The vast majority of people who take it don't have the symptoms. Now you know that you shouldn't take it. Hopefully your flu is done with a lot quicker than it would have been and hopefully you didn't have as bad a case of it.

My husband's niece had the flu a few weeks ago. She was diagnosed the 3rd day. She said she felt really weird and had the headaches etc. She got the Rx from a different doc since her doc was out of the office-it's a practice so many doc's to see. When she got to see her own doctor a week later, he said she should not have been given it due to the time passed and was given antibiotics. She felt better 2 days later.
