I enjoy doing Yoga for Dummies. It is very low impact and I got relief from my carpal tunnel and tendonitis from this.
No suggestions for your son, but for you Jillian Michaels has one that is excellent. Even though it is not actual traditional yoga, the moves are accurate and it is a challenging DVD.
