I was wondering if anyone had purchased a really great carpet steam cleaner they could reccommend? I intend on purchasing one this Friday and I just wanted some reccommendations on good ones out there.

What can I do next?

I have a Bissell. It has a hot water heater on board. I love it. It is my 2nd Bissell. We had a Hoover before the Bissell and it was good as well. The 1 thing I love about the Bissell is the hot water heater feature. I will be getting another steamer within 6 months and I will probably go with the Bissell (an upgrade if they have one)

Good luck!

I have a bissel, with the hot water knob. Loooooooove it!! And so do my friends who keep on borowing it.
Bought it at linnens and things, with the 20% coupon. It works really well.

Good luck, I.

Bissell is the best. We have the one that gets 25 degrees hotter than most or something like that. It also has an apholstry attachment. It's the best thing we've ever used. We used to rent those ones at the grocery store (those big red rug doctors), but they were awful. We had to stop and empty the water so often, and you could only get it as hot as your hot water gets, which didn't do much. It looked good for about a day but wasn't worth the money or the time running back and forth to empty and fill the water. I definitely believe in the Bissell.

For years I had the Bissell, it was good. Then a Kirby (very expensive), but now I prefer the Rug Doctor from the store. It sucks up water much better and really seems to clean best. I'd say save closet space and rent the Rug Doctor when you need it.
