South Plano/ North Dallas Montessori

I am looking for a med sized Montessori in South Plano Area. I have twins and they are very different and I think a montessori environment will allow me to meet both their needs. I'd rather a medium sized one, but I'm making a list right now and will follow-up on most.
There are several good ones in North Plano, but that just doesn't work for me.

What can I do next?

I agree with Mandy (in fact - our daughters might even be in the same class!). Breckinridge has been a great environment, and New Century will be run by its former director - a fabulous woman with a lot of experience.

We LOVED North Dallas Montessori in Richardson http://www.dnmschool.com/ right near Arapaho and Floyd (near 75 and Arapaho). It is a small Montessori - one preschool class, one elementary. my youngest went there after we had tried 2 others with my older child. We first went to Dallas North Montessori near Preston and Frankford - bigger school, decent programming, but impersonal staff and a LOT of worksheet work. Second school - Plano Children's Montessori. More medium sized, lesser programming, okay staff. Still not thrilled. Then with child number two we made it ti NDMS. This is the first montessori I found that integrated strong music and art programs, along with nature studies, interaction between preschool and elementary classes, and wonderful staff. I regret only two things - that we didn't get our first child in there, and that we couldn't keep them going there. There does tend to be a waiting list - get on it as soon as you can! Also, there is no toddler program - kids must be 3 to start.

I'm not sure which side of Plano you're looking on, but my daughter goes to Breckinridge Montessori (http://www.breckinridgemontessori.com/) off 190 and Renner, and we love it. There is also a new one breaking ground now and opening this fall at 190 and Campbell called New Century Montessori Academy (http://www.myncma.com/).

I'm not sure how far South you are willing to go, but we LOVE A Child's Garden Montessori in Carrollton. It's off of Keller Springs/Whitlock and Old Denton. Their web-address is http://www.acgmontessori.org/. If you have any questions, let me know!
Good luck!

My daughter is at American Montessori off the tollway and Plano Parkway near Willowbend Mall. We love it!
