Yesterday I was driving and a song came on the radio, suddenly I was on a different road, driving a different car, in a different time. I have several that will do it for me.

Just a few
Amarillo by Morning by George Straight
Neon Moon by Brooks and Dunn
Slide by the Goo Goo Dolls
Crash into Me Dave Mathews Band
Pink by Aerosmith
Califorina Love by Tupac
My Pony Ginuwine.

Quite the variety, what songs take you back?

Far Away By Nickelback, that is my husband's and I's song. It has always had so much meaning to us for years. And even more meaning when my husband was deployed in Afghanistan, he was so Far Away. Stirs up the feelings every time we hear it.

Any song from one of the 80's big hair bands (so many memories of friends, dances, keggers, boyfriends, jr.high, h.s.)!! I can still sing along/remember the words to most of them ~ how sad is that?!
Oh my goodness!! Sitting here listening to Pandora and Cutting Crew's "Died In Your Arms Tonight". Talk about bringing back some memories!! I remember dancing to this song at a Valentine's Day dance with "S" and I was wearing a black and blue checkered dress!!!

More than Words by Extreme
Manic Monday by the Bangles
Mad About You by Belinda Carlisle
Like a Prayer (and almost anything else) by Madonna
Gotta Keep 'Em Separated by The Offspring
A Horse With No Name (don't know who it's by)
Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi
No Rain by Blind Melon

I can remember a specific time and place for each of these and every time I hear them, I think of those moments. Some with friends, some with family. But I always smile.

When I was in high school when it was nice out we would go to the lake or rock climbing and on the way we would always have Blind Melon, Oasis and Tom Petty playing. I know it sounds like we were a bunch of potheads, but we didn't smoke. It was those times at the lake playing frisbee or just hiking that we had the most fun. It was the mid-nineties and we would party like rockstars on the weekends, but it is these day trips that I remember and love to reminise about.
