Hi everyone~
I'm the maid of honor in my friend's wedding this summer. She has asked me to put together a mix cd for us girls to listen to while getting ready for the big day. She just wants some fun, "girly" kind of music on this. She came up with "Going to the Chapel", "Girls Just Want to Have Fun", and "My Girl", to name a few. Do you have any suggestions for songs that you think would make it a fun time for us girls getting ready??
Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance!

You can't go wrong with any selection from Madonna, Pink, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, etc. and good type of dance music. Go on Youtube and just start putting famous artists names in the search, and you can watch their videos of all the popular songs.

If you're the MOH you must be pretty close to her and have some sort of history together. What about fun songs that have been part of your history? Maybe ones that remind you both of something or somewhere. There are so many songs that I will hear that I can remember exactly where I was, who I was with, and what I was doing. Hopefully that helps.

My GFs and I always loved to sing to "Brown Eyed Girl," and we sang and danced to "I Will Survive" (I know, not the best lyrics for the occasion, but most people don't listen to the lyrics anyways and it's fun to sing).

Let's Hear it for the Boy is Deneice Williams; great song from the Footloose soundtrack. Another good one from that sountrack is Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler. Another good "girlie" song is "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" by Shania Twain. How about "It's Raining Men" by The Weather Girls?

I'm sure I can come up with others, so feel free to send me a private message if you want more input.

How about "Let's hear it for the boys" don't know the artist but it's an 80's song. Madonna's "Material Girl". Also, Destiny's Child "Charlie's Angel's" song is a fun one. Don't forget "Ladie's Night" :) Just a few suggestions off the top of my head. Have fun!

I would think back to songs you and her have loved in the past. I am an 80's hair band junkie :) So for me hearing poison, white snake, def leppard etc always make me happy and energetic. Go online and just start scanning through all the hundreds of songs out there from any era, I'm sure as you see them in front of you it will ring a bell!! Have fun!! That is is such a fun day, I wish I could relive mine all over again lol!
