WOW, I am stumped this year.
I am looking for a place to have our son's 2nd birthday party but not ready for the action packed places just yet, maybe next year! Our home is just too small and I can't seem to think/find any restaurant that would work. Would anyone have any ideas? His birthday is at the first of April. I considered D.Rose but afraid the percentage of cold or rainy weather may be too high for an outside party. His 1st we had at Ari's Greek Restaurant which was a perfect wonderful place and I would highly recommend it again but trying to avoid the same photos for every birthday! HA
Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

I know these places are not very close to your home but, Crayola Cafe in Crown Center has a private birthday room. Also, Waldo Pizza (75th & Wornall) has a back room that is great for parties and the pizza is delicious. Uno's Pizza on the Plaza has a back room too with a wide variety of things on the menu.

It sounded odd at first but my daughter has gone to a few b-day parties at McDonalds/Burger King. Some of the them have rooms you can rent (McDonald's by the Great Mall in Olathe). They have deals for groups and the kiddos can play in the play place. Surprisingly fun and cheap!

Someone already mentioned First Family Church, but I want to say that we just had my daughters 1st b-day party there in Jan. The kids loved it and the parents commented on what a great place it was to have a party too. Highly recommend it!

We did gymboree for my daughter 3year bday. The teacher did all the work and the kids had a blast. There's one in Olathe & PV. I think the website is www.gymboreekc.com
If you like restaurants, Red Robbin is a good one!

If you're not looking for a full meal/restaurant there's a public playroom adjoined to Parkside Coffeeshop at Cedar Ridge Christian Church (8835 Lackman Road, Lenexa).

You can rent the gym too and could set up a rented bounce-house there - or buy a grocery store bouncy ball for each kid and let them go wild chasing them...

Inside, clean, safe. (cheap)

Old Chicago on 119th & Metcalf has a nice big room that has doors you can shut to make it more private.

Have you thought about wonderscope? I don't know if 2 is too young but I have been to lots of parties there for 3 year olds and they love it.
