So Not a Mama Question!
So on an Ipod touch how many songs would 8GB hold or how many songs would 32GB hold? And if there is Wi-Fi web browsing do you have to pay a monthly service for that? I am so un-tech savvy, it is a miracle I know how to do mampedia!

I think this goes for any storage device - I think it's about 2,000 songs...for 8GB and about 6 to 7K for a 32GB.
Anything else about the ipod - can't answer. I sold mine as it sat around collecting dust.
You are fine - don't beat yourself up!!!

OK, I googled it & here's what I came up with: 8GB holds 1,750 & 32 holds 7,000. No, you don't pay a monthly fee for the wi-fi.

No. WiFi does not charge. Only if you are using 3G or 4G technology (wireless phone service) do you have to subscribe. WiFi is totally free....although you might need a password in a non-public location. Bookstores, Starbucks, McD's, etc... no password required.
An ipod 8 GB holds a lot of music. But what probably will be the issue with memory is that you (or whomever is getting it?) will download aps (applications, i.e., games) and that can use up your memory. Or if you download movies to it or a lot of photos. They have "cloud" storage now, so some of that may be less of an issue, but I haven't played with it much.
Both our kids have the 8 GB and they tend to keep one full length movie, some short videos they made themselves, some photos, and a good many songs on it, along with maybe 30 aps or so. When you sync it with your iTunes account, it will tell you how much memory you are using for each "category" and you can adjust it if you want. If you delete something from your actual ipod, you still own it in your iTunes and you can load it back on later if you choose.

It depends on the sound quality of the songs. If you have everything recorded in high quality the actual number of songs could be lower than advertised. That's because higher quality = bigger file that takes up more space therefore less songs fit.
