So What Happened?

Well thanks for all the responses! It has worked so far and the only hard part is the fact that I have to cook for me and then cook for my family of 4 boys, my husband and my in-laws are living with us. And yes it is costly, but thank you to the ebay tip! That is great and I did buy some things off ebay and from some other local people. I hope that I continue to have all the great success that all of you have had! Thanks again, M.

Hi, I did slim4life about 2yrs ago and lost 50lbs in 12 weeks. If you stick to it, it will work. I never gained any of it back like you do when you stop some diets. So, I wanted to lose about 20 more lbs so I started it up again. I'm doing it right now. I am on week 6 and have lost 16lbs so far. its a lot of $$$$ like someone else already said. You have to keep buying bars, drinks, pills. but this time around I have been buying them all on ebay. You will save a lot of money this way because its people that are done with the program and just wanting to get rid of all the extras they still have. You'll get stuff about 50%less. At least I have. Good luck!! If it didnt work I would not of started it up again.

Hi M.,
I had done S4L when I was back in high school. It really does work, but you HAVE to stay on the program. Pretty much no excerise is required, although it would help to lose quicker. I had lost about 30 some pounds and went from a size 12 to an 8. When I was on it, and I'm sure things have changed, but when I was on it I felt a little starved. There are many things you cannot have. We couldn't eat carrots because they are high in sugar. If you have just one extra piece of bread or starch you will gain weight at least a pound back. With supper for you and your family you might even have to make a whole separate meal for you. My brother couldn't eat what my mom and I ate...if he did, he'd be a toothpick. Like I said, it really does work. They do have their own treats though so you're not so tempted about non-dieting foods. They have snack bars and drink mixes (i.e.-cocoa, smoothies, cappucino types). I wish you the best of luck!
God Bless,
A.

I started it in April and have lost 50 pounds so far. They are really great there and you will succeed if you follow their directions. I had an alergic reaction to something in their products so they have helped me lose my tonage just with diet and exercise and no supplements. I do have purchased supplements that I cannot take, if anyone is interested in them at a fraction of the cost from the company. You will do well on the program! I still have about 30 pounds to lose to get to my goal...and I will get there too. :-)

I did Slim 4 Life about 7 years ago. It worked great as long as you stayed on their program. I lost about 30-40 pounds with no exercise. I wish you the best of luck.

M.,

I did the program 2 1/2 years ago and still go back for maintenance. Yes, the program is strict but I learned portion sizes, each fruits and vegetables every day and protein, which is what I used to give up first in a meal. I lost 42 pounds, beginning May 31, 2006 and reached that in October of 2006. I went from a very tight size 10 to a size 4 that was loose. I have physical problems that keep me from exercising and still lost the weight. However, I did exactly what they said, drank the water, gave up sugar, used their supplements (which some are like candy bars) as I was ready to get that weight off and feel better about myself. I was terrified to get off the plan once I met my goal and go on maintenance. The counselors become your friends, encouraging you along the way and so I don't think you need a chat room. You go three times a week after the first two weeks and so they spend the time chatting with you, monitoring your successes (and slipups). And they work with you if you know you are going to go off plan, letting you know what to give up to have that piece of birthday cake. Starting right before the holidays will be tough to stay on plan but you go girl! I lost so much that people at church and the kids school thought I had a health issue. Nope, all because I ate protein, fruits and vegetables. I was a carrot eater before but honestly, don't miss them or corn, either. It is expensive but I bought all the products, used them faithfully and am so glad I did. And if you need some encouragement, please e-mail me. I'll be glad to listen to you anytime.

I did Slim 4 Life after I had my 2nd baby and it worked great. But, be prepared to spend 3-4 times as much as they tell you it will cost in the initial consultation! I felt totally duped by all the supplements they make you buy which are all very expensive. But, the program does work!
