Shark Steam Mop- Good Buy or Not Worth It?

I love mine. It does everything it was supposed to. I do wish I had the newer one though because mine doesn't swivel. I might find that I like the Oreck better too because it has different attachments and steams while being held overhead.

One example of how fast it works:
I got a new dryer and they were going to deliver it at an undisclosed time. I went home from Lowes and my husband moved the old dryer out to the porch for them to take and dispose of it. I picked up the broom and went over to look at the grime packed underneath where it had been sitting 10+ years. All the goo and spills that had been pushed under the edge and dried/baked on were there in their shining glory. The phone rang just then, the delivery truck was on my street and didn't see my drive entrance. I plugged in the mop, quickly swept and used the dust pan to get up most of the loose stuff, then sat the mop on the sticky goo and pumped it a few times. It took less than 5 minutes to have the whole space where the old dryer had sat completely clean and dry when the delivery men brought the new dryer in the door.

It really works. I use it at my home where I have linoleum bought from Lowes and it looks fine after using it. I use it on my FIL's flooring and his floors have wax on them, it does make them look a bit more matt finish but not dull or unappealing.

i purchased my shark steam pocket mop in feb. after watching the racheal ray show and seeing that it was parent tested parent approve website. i also watched the infomercial several times be deciding on the purchase i went to there website and read reviews. i love my steam mop. i have hardwood ceramic tile and vinyl floor and if it wasnt for this mop i would me mopping alot longe b\c my 2yr old likes to throw his food. when the pads get dirty it does tend to leave dirt on the floor and sometimes streaks on hardwood when dried but if you have hardwood if you polish them works like a dream and i really feel like my floors are clean.

I have one and like it much better than a regular mop. The only thing I don't like is that you cannot put pressure on the full bottom, just in the center. (hope that makes sense.) I also like using Shaklee's non toxic concentrated cleaners in it. If you are interested in those, let me know.

I am considering one too... I have two questions: Do they need to be used with cleaners? Do they work on vinyl floors?

I have a bissle steam mop and I really like it. It cleans my floors and is real easy to use. My 10 & 8 year olds can even operate it.

I've had one for about a year...I love it! I use it on my tile floors. I know it says it is safe to use on hardwoods if they are sealed, but I have handscraped hardwoods and don't feel comfortable using it on those. It does a great job and my floors feel so clean afterwards. Easy on your back too.

It works GREAT at cleaning tile floors but I noticed that it left my hard wood floors kinda of dull.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Shark Steam Pocket Mop! It's super fast and easy to use and leaves my hard wood and tile looking shiny and super clean. You only use water in it, no cleaners, so no chemicals and it sanitizes. The Pocket Mop uses double sided pads and "flips" for twice the cleaning ability on the same pad. I love my steam mop, for the first time I feel like I am really cleaning the floor. I have laminate wood floor and vinyl. I love that there are no cleaners to buy just use water. A very good investment.

It is so worth it! You will love it! The one I got came with a free hand held spray steamer, and I absolutely love that too! It works great cleaning off grime from the cupboards and refridgerator!

I "treated" myself to a steam mop for Christmas it is not a shark but I love it (steamfast). I got an awesome deal at Home Depot it was the doorbuster for $29.00 It is so easy to use and you save all that money on cleaners and breaking your back with a mop. Yes get one.
