Seeking Recommendations for Hairstylist in Los Al/Rossmoor Area

Hi Ladeis, I would appreciate any recommended salons you may have used in the
Los Alamitos /Rossmoor area. Preferrably one that specializes in naturally curly hair. I have a head of whirls of curls and in need of a good colorist (highlights)in the local area. Being a mom of 3 doesn't leave much time for beauty time, let alone researching a new place by trial and error. So any help you can provide is appreciated. Thx!!

What can I do next?

Ruby LeMond at Vanguardia on 4th St. and Ximeno in Long Beach, color and curly specialist!

Try W. Woodruff in seal beach. Woody is an award winning styling, great with color too. His wife Lisa also cuts and colors hair (she does mine). It's a great little shop, and they do a fabulous job. I've known Lisa since kindergarden, but have only been going to her for hair for maybe the past 7 years or so.

Good luck!

Try Kristina Shafton at D1 Salon on PCH and 7th. Just take the 22 to PCH and it is there on the corner, across from CSULB. She does great with my naturally curly hair. She went to some training at the curly girl salon in LA. Tell her R. sent you!

Try Salon Shag on PCH in Seal Beach. Either Dana or Heather, both are great! Dana is an expert colorist and both are great stylists. It is in the Mitchell Plaza just past Seal Beach Blvd.

I am really cheap. I color my own hair and get it cut at Fantastic Sam's next to the shoe store on the corner of Katella and Los Alamitos Blvd. I have been going there for years and my kids do to. If you just want a cut they are fine. No appointments. You can make an appointment. They are all fine. One is more hip than the others. A couple seem to do razor cuts more that scissors, which I like. I keep my hair short or in a bob or a layered look. It you want something specialized or you have really bad hair you might want a specialist. I came in 13 years ago after dying and perming my hair for several years and I had a 14 inch blond "afro" and they helped me cut and tame the monster. I will never double process my hair again!
