Seeking Pediatricians in Garland Area

I've used Dr. Sonnen since both of my girls were born and I have several friends who use him for their kids, too. He really pays attention to detail and is great about honestly (and clearly) explaining things. He is at the Baylor Family Health Center in Mesquite, on Galloway and Hwy. 30 (pretty close to parts of garland). His office number is ###-###-#### and I've referred several friends there & they just love him, too. My cousin didn't like him for her kids because she said he was rude. I don't think he is rude, he is just straight-forward. I'd much rather have that than the kind of doctor who just tells you what you want to hear. My kids have really never been sick, but when there is a little problem and I have to call his office for a question he is always quick to respond. . . and he ALWAYS calls the next day to check up on them. When he's not in the office you talk to a triage nurse at Children's and they are always really helpful. The one time we had a real problem, they got her into the 'referal center' there that is like an ER but a lot cleaner with no wait. They took such great care of her & the next morning Dr. Sonnen fit her in first thing in the morning. Seriously, I love everything about the doctor & I'm so glad I found one that I know I can rely on to take care of my kiddos.

I don't know her from personal experience but have had TONS of people say great things about Carla Cole. She is in Garland; you can find here online.

We go to Dr. Johanna Limsenben. She is fantastic! They are located right in front of Baylor hospital on Shiloh and Walnut in Garland. She is very knowledgeable and takes her time with you. Nothing but great reviews from us. I am due in July with our second and am actually looking forward to all the appts. to come. Since my daughter is 2 now we don't go as often. Her # is ###-###-####.

I absolutely love Dr. Reese Mathiew. His office is in Richardson and will be moving in the near future off of Renner Road. He is very caring and patient and reminds me of Mr. Rogers. Their number is ###-###-####.

Hello J.. How funny, my son is also 7 months old and I am also relatively new to this area. My son's pediatrician is Dr.David Granger at Lake Ray Hubbard Pediatrics. His phone number is ###-###-####, they're located in Rowlett. Not sure how close to you. I also live in Garland, but his office is pretty close to me. I love his office, very flexible hours and always an on-call nurse. We never wait long, and that's important to me. Nurses remember you since it's a moderately small group, even thought the office is a nice size. Hope it helps.
