Seeking Orthopedic Surgeon - Allen, Plano, McKinney Area

Can someone recommend an orthopedic surgeon to diagnose and possibly repair a (possible) torn ACL (knee)? I went to a very rude and condescending doctor this week and just don't trust him with scalpel. I live in Parker and will drive pretty far for a compassionate surgeon.
Thank you in advance.

What can I do next?

I just had ACL reconstruction 2 months ago and I would definitely go to my surgeon. He's a pro at knees. At my 6 week check-up, he said I was about a month ahead of schedule. He's SUPER nice, works with several sports teams in the area and has 100% success rate with cadaver ACL reconstructions, which is simply amazing.

He also did my husband's surgery on his elbow about 3 years ago.

I wouldn't go anywhere else.

He's in Richardson off of the Bush and Renner. I live in Carrollton and he's 110% worth the drive for us.

Plano Orthopedic Sports Medicine. ALL the Dr's there are great. We have personally seen the majority of them....Sutker, Smith, Moore, Crates They are all highly respected and and sought after.

If you want surgery...it is the wrong place. They use surgery as a last resort. My hubby was told he would have to have surgery to repair his rotator cuff after a car accident. He is a semi pro golfer and that would be devestating to him.

After physical therapy and hard work...he has been back on the golf course doing what he does best. Dr. Sutker was AWESOME.

They are located on Plano Parkway just West of Preston and before you get to the tollway.

Good luck.

If you are not too far from Frisco (Centennial Medical Center)then I would recommend either Dr.Troy Diehl or Dr. Dan Maurer. Both are younger and more up todate with the lastest techniques - if surgery can be avoided they will tell you and on the flip side if it is in the best interest of the patient they will let you know it is "advised" (without pressure-which I liked). Also it's important when chosing a physician to find one you believe listens to you and doesn't make you think your visit was a waste of time! Neither of these guys will make you feel that way. Oh, and they have x-ray on-site which is a huge convienence.

Their phone number is ###-###-#### - Performance Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine 4461 Coit Road-Suite 301 which is located right next door to Centennial Medical Center.

Good Luck to you!
