I belong to a wonderful mom's group called PACES (Parent and Child Education and Support Organization). We offer many benefits to our members and one of those is playgroups. There are also monthly parent education meetings, newsletters, mom's night out events and Tot Outings! I am the Regional Coordinator for the Downers Grove/Woodridge/LaGrange area however we have another region that includes Woodfield. Call Northwest Community Hospital. They should put you in touch with a GREAT group. It is held at a church in A.H. (No religious affliation.) The people are great. They are all first time moms with babies the same age as yours. They have some great moderators - - nurses and a lactation consultant (once a month). The lactation consultant will answer any question and will not judge if you don't breastfeed.
As the babies get "older" you form your own groups outside of this group in order to make room for "new" moms.
No fees etc.
