What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks to everyone who put so much thought and time into helping me! I've decided to try Dr. Kean at Metro. The location is very close to us and I liked the idea of multiple drs there. Thank you all so much!

Hey J.,

I go to Metro OBGYN in Commerce (By Hiller's Market). Dr. Benjamin is my primary doctor. Dr. Cantor delivered my son. I've see Dr. Kean when I was in the hospital. I've only heard great things about all the other doctors and am very happy with everyone I've seen. Many friend and family go to them as well. Good Luck, V.

Choice B is my OBGYN practice. However unlike you I see the male counter parts in that office. I must say I have both woman though. I prefer Dr Cantor and Bayrum and Benjamin and have been a patient of Cantor for 15 years now and delivered 4 of my 4 daughters with this practice. They are outstanding. I now go to their Livonia office as it is more conveniently located for me but I still drive 30 minutes....if they moved I would too, lol
They are awesome, professional and take excellent conservative care of their patients. I was with my last daughter on bed rest for 23 weeks and 4 days and I swear she is alove today because of the care I received through their affiliations with Huron Valley and the high risk team of Dr Sorokin. This is an excellent choice you are researching. I cannot wait to get pg again and be cared for so well again.

Dr. Balchandani is the most wonderful OB I've used. She delivered the last 2 of my three boys and I just adore her. Her bedside manner is fab, she listens and the girls in the office are really nice. Dr. Pramod seems really nice, too but I only saw her a couple of times since she joined the practice towards the end of my last pregnancy.

I used to use Dr. Clubb when she and Dr.Balchandani worked together and she is nice but I prefer Dr.B.

I once saw Dr. Bayrum that was mentioned in a previous post. I had to go to that office when I had a miscarriage at 4 months and I did not care for his bedside manor in the least but that's just my opinion. I've heard of many who really like that office.

Best of luck in making your choice!
P.

I am a patient at Metro OB/Gyn in Commerce. I had 2 babies with their MD's. Dr. Bock (female) delivered my last, but I believe she is moving out of town. Dr. Szelesty(I'm not sure I spelled that correctly) (also female) delivered my 2nd child, and I really liked her too. As for Dr. Kean and Dr. Clubb, I've only seen them each once, because they like you to see all the MD's if possible during your pregnancy since you never know who will be on when you deliver. My last pregnancy I actually saw Dr. Bayram (male)through the whole pregnancy (which was a stressful one because we found out that the baby had congenital defects on our 20 week ultrasound), and he was fabulous. The only reason he didn't deliver was because he had to have surgery one week before my planned c-section. Every MD they have there has been very nice to work with, and the staff is too. I do know that some of the females are harder to get appointments with because some only work part-time. But I do highly recommend their practice and Huron Valley Sinai.

Hi J.

I live in Hartland and I travel to Commerce for my OB I just love him I noticed you seem to be looking more for a female doctor which was what I used to be like until I was referred to my OB I am at now, his name is Dr. Jeffrey Miller he is with Huron Valley Obstetrics. He is a 1 doc practice which I think is key because you know he will be the one delivering you. He has been my doc since 2001 and delievered both my girls and was great, caring and took time with you, made me feel very comfortable which was surprising. If I have any questions and call the office, he is always the one to talk to me not just a nurse.
I always tell my husband when our insurance gets switched I would still go to him and pay out of pocket if I had too.
Yes they do take BCBS and he is out of Huron Valley which is were I delievered both my kids. his number is ###-###-####
Good luck!
