Looking for a New OB GYN

Metro OB GYN is in Commerce & Livonia, just closed Milford. I have seen all the doctors in the practice and they are fabulous!!!! Both men and women docs practice there. You can see any of the docs or just stay with one. They also have a after hours # which I found very helpful during my pregnancy. Very accomidating. I hope this helps you. Try Dr. Byram in Commerce Twp. I used him for my second child and loved him!! His office is located on Commerce near Union Lake Road. (Behind the plaza that has Farmer Jack & Childrens Orchard) It's just before Edgewood Country Club. He works with High Risk pregnancies as well and was Chief of OB/Gyn at Huron Valley while I delivered. He's very thorouh, kind and has a good bed side manner. There are other OB's in his practice, although some have changed since my delivery (7 years ago) Dr. Danny Benjamin is another one I saw from his practice and while I liked him, Dr. Byram was my pick!!

I am a birth doula as well as an assistant midwife, and I have my favorites. These doctors are considered mother-friendly, which means they look at moms and their individual personalities and let them give birth the way that makes them feel most comfortable. They are open to unique requests from the parents. Other practices may have good doctors, but they work in such huge practices that your chances are very slim of getting the doctor you like.
Dr. Miller in Commerce is great for a lot of reasons. He is in a solo practice, so you know that you will get him when you deliver.
My personal favorite has also been Dr Zaidan in Auburn Hills.

He works mostly out of St Joes. The office is busy and sometimes you have to wait, but it is worth it in the end.

I recommend Dr. Jeffery Miller. He has his own practice on Commerce Rd. in Commerce and he works out of Huron Valley Sinai Hospital. He has a great staff and is a wonderful doctor. Good Luck! I hope you find someone you are happy with as I know how important that is.

I know of the BEST OB GYN in Lake Orion Beaumont Bulding. I am over weight and had the best experince with him Dr Vlachos

There are 3 offices one in Milford and one in Livonia... Great Practice.

I'm on the same page as Tisha A, but Love Gordon Masters. She's getting ready to be out for 6 wks, she is expecting the 2nd child. But you make rotations and see very doctor there anyway, so you could pick out which one you like best. And the hospital (MErcy) is great!!
