Seeking Medical Facilities near Rolling Hills Area

Hi. We currently have temporary Medi-Cal for our two small children and would like to find a good pediatrics and/or clinic and/or hospital nearby. We need to get our kids vaccinated and simply would like to know that if anything happens we know where to take our kids. A hospital or a clinic with great communication skills would be wonderful! I've called Medi-Cal and asked for providers nearby but no luck. They told me to call around and see if they accept Medi-Cal. With so many clinics and hospitals nearby I'd like some advice from moms out there. Thanks again in advance for your input.

What can I do next?

Hi L..

Try Soma Medical Clinic.
They are behind the South Bay Galleria (I know, quite a ride down the hill), but I'm quite sure they would take Medi-Cal.
Their phone number is ###-###-####.
If not, try the Free Family Clinic on Artesia Blvd in Redondo Beach. (Close to the intersection of Artesia and Rindge).
If it is a true Medical Emergency, any hospital will take Medi-Cal.

I know that no where in the Rolling Hills area do they take medical. This is Rolling Hills, California right? You would go to maybe Harbor hospital on carson st in Torrance.

Good luck,

Hi L..

Long Beach Memorial Medical Center has a children's clinic that accepts Medi-Cal. It's at 2801 Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach. They can help you with sick visits and vaccinations, etc. The good thing about Long Beach Memorial is that they have a great children's hospital, Miller Children's Hospital, which is on the same property. I definitely recommend this hospital. It's the best in my opinion.

Just FYI, for emergencies, every hospital, regardless of insurance, has to see your children. You may already know that, but just wanted to make sure I didn't forget to throw that out there.

Hope this helps!

Stephanie

Hi L.,
My children have THE BEST pediatrician!!! They are located in Rolling Hills Estates. We live in Long Beach and drive all the way there (45 minute drive) for our newborn and almost 3 year old.
My friend told me about them when we moved here 2.5 years ago.
We see Dr. Segil (woman), but the whole office is amazing! Dr. Flores(man) is amazing too...he works there too and it's actually his practice.
the number is ###-###-####
Good luck!

Hi L.,

I think you should go to Torrance Memorial. I feel that it's a great hospital I never had any problems with that hospital. There's Kaiser located on Sepulveda in Harbor city. I never went there but I have friends who does. But from my experience I thing Torrance memorial is the best. Also the clinic that I belong to for years is Healthcare Partners. I think they have a website I'm not sure. Once again no problems....their office is located in Torrance on Del Amo between Praire and Hawthorne. They have a great pediatrics department. Good luck on your search.
