Hello ladies. I am having my 1st child...my miralce baby-John Benjamin on/or about July 28th. I need to find a Pediatrician in my North Orange County area. I am not concerned if its a male or female BUT they do need to be able to take Medi-Cal as thats my only insurance right now. Id also like to have someone that I can "talk" to and who is warm and caring yet knows what they are doing and is professional. Any sujestions would be great! Thank you.

What can I do next?

Hello, I'm not sure about the Medi-Cal question, but we use DR. MICHAEL MARINO in Placentia

1041 E Yorba Linda Blvd
Placentia, CA 92870

We have used him since my daughter was a toddler (we lived out of state when she was born). I know he is part of St. Jude Heritage Medical Group, but again, I don't know about MediCal. HOWEVER, perhaps if you call them they can tell you and/or help refer you!!

Good luck!! And best wishes on your delivery!!

Giglio is good, as is Joseph Longnecker in the same building but different office. I use to have Anne Ford who is okay, but I like the other two better. I have only seen Giglio once, but he seemed nice with geuine concern. He took his time with me, even though I was actually a differnt Dr's patient. (Ford was on vacation, and I was having severe abdominal pain.) Longnecker is by far my favorite in that center, but also hardest to get as your primary. (He is techniquely closed to new patients, but will take anybody that asks him directly.) If Longnecker retires, I will likely take Giglio.

BTW- St Jude Herritage does have Drs that take Medi-cal. I know that Longnecker is one of them. I believe all of them at the Harbor office do. (Giglio #/address)

Hi J.,

I have a 16th month old little girl and am about to have my second. I've been taking my little one to Dr. Rafael Vergara in Huntington Beach since her birth. Dr. Vergara actually drove to Long Beach Memorial to examine my daughter in the hospital. He's a very smart doctor, that does not make a big deal of all the little things. He's comfortable to talk to and gives great advice. He's located on the corner of Bolsa and Springdale. ###-###-####

Hi J.,
I have a wonderful doctor in Fullerton by the name of Dr. Giglio. He's a family practice doctor, but is wonderful with kids. (I'm a pediatric nurse myself, he knows more than some of the pediaticians I work for!) He is very warm, and very easy to talk to. The last time I checked he did accept Medi-cal. Here is his info:
· Mark F. Giglio, M.D.
2720 N. Harbor Blvd., Suite 200
Fullerton, CA 92835

Well, I do not know of one in North OC, but I have one in Irvine that is PERFECTECTION and does take Medi-Cal. I promise he is worth the drive!! His name is Dr. Bradford Curtis and he is with Bristol Park Medical Group, if you go to see him, he might be able to refer you to a Ped. near you through BPMG. Give him a call, ###-###-####

Congtratulations and best wishes to you and your soon to be baby boy in your arms!!!
