Shelley,
Sorry you're going through the difficulty of a divorce. I'm not sure what your financial situation is, or what your relationship is with your husband, but when I got divorced I had almost no money and went through a paralegal who helped me with all the paperwork for a reasonable fee and then I filed it. It was so much more affordable than the lawyers were! Here's her number: Family Affair Divorce ###-###-####. She's located in St Paul and just tell her you were referred by a fellow mom who was divorced in 2003/2004. Best of luck!

I read your previous post, and am very sorry that things haven't changed, and you have to go through a divorce. While I think you are making the right decision, I know it has to be hard. I heard good things about Family Affair Divorce in St. Paul...their number is ###-###-####. My aunt used them in her divorce. You could also go to www.lawyers.com to search for one, and call...be very up front with your questions...if you think it, ask it...I wish you the best of luck in moving on.

Paralegal service is the way to go. You see the ads in the paper for $99 or around that all the time. I'm not 100% positive, but I believe you have to have everything agreed on, and the less there is involved, that makes it easier and cheaper too. I used with my first marriage. We agreed on everything from the house, cars, bills and our child.
