Divorce Attorney in Orange County

I am currently going thru a divorce and have done it all myself. If you go to the courthouse, they have a free assistance office that can walk you thru the forms and ask them questions. If you 2 are agreeable on things, there is no reason to use a lawyer. My soon to be ex and I agreed on things upfront and it has been smooth sailing. The only thing that you have to pay for it is the $320 filing fee.

Talk about an oxymoron@

I was quoted $1000.00 to start but as things have changed (domestic violence and custody issues) that has gone up to 3000.00... Still far more reasonable than the $7000.00 my friends have paid.

Sorry you are having to find a divorce lawyer :( I'm not sure if she does divorce, but you could always call my family law attorney. Her name is Wendy Fountain. I can't find her card right now, but you can find her online. She is an excellent family law attorney. Her consultation is $100 but if you decide to hire her, she waves that fee. Her normal retainer is $2000. Not sure how affordable this is for you, but she is worth the money.
