The last 2 that I took are SlimQuick, Didn't like that to much. The other one is Mega Green Tea ($4.00 at Walmart) I think that this one is helping with my appetite. But it's not making me lose weight. It's diet & exercise that works!!!!

I know it's probably not what you want to hear, but I wouldn't try any diet products. I had to lose about 20lbs after my son and I lost the first 10 by just changing my diet. There are many websites that help you calculate how many calories you should be eating based on your ht/wt and activity level (such as RealAge.com) and then you can use MyFitnessPal.com as a food journal to automatically calculate your calories.
Honestly, I just made good changes and choices each day (and it was a struggle at first) but now, 2 yrs later, I've made a complete lifestyle change and have kept off that 20lbs.
Simple things, such as cutting out sodas or substituting something lower caloried for your usual dessert can cut enough calories to make a difference. You just have to consistently make that calorie deficit and you will lose weight. Of course, when you add exercise, it will really start to come off.
I hope this wasn't too long but I am pretty passionate about this subject. This is the best I've ever felt or looked and my family is healthy, too.
Good Luck!

You don't want a supplement!! When you stop taking them, the weight will come back. Try good old fashioned lifestyle changes (diet and exercise)!

One pound equals 3200 calories. You either need to work that off, consume less food, or (the best way) a combination of both.

Get some workout DVD's that you think you would enjoy. Go to the library and check some out. (Look for Leslie Sansone - she is great!)

Set up your workout schedule in a way that you KNOW you will get it done - no matter what.

Now, for the food. This below is by no means what I am telling you to eat. It is lacking severely in some of the required food categories for the day. But, the following is an example of a 1200 calorie a day diet:

1. Breakfast: 3/4 c. cereal & 1/2 c. skim milk
2. Snack: 8 oz. V8
3. Lunch: 1 can Progresso soup
4. Snack: 1 oz. peanuts and 1/4 c. raisins
5. Supper: 500 - 520 calorie supper (think chicken or fish, salad, side of veggies)
6. Snack: 1 hard boiled egg

Good luck, and you can do this!

WATER! Take your body weight divided by two. That is how many ounces you are supposed to be drinking per day. (How could have I forgot the water?!)

I have been taking Vemma for over a year, with wonderful result health wise, which attracted 35 of my friends and family members to want to take it as well. We all, the first month as our body balanced, lost 8 to 10 pounds without even changing a thing but the addition of this two ounces of liquid supplement that tastes so good. It was a neat surprise. I have kept it off. Still drink my Vemma daily, or the Verve Healthy Energy Drink with the two ounces of Vemma in it. Take a look. www.myverve.com/annnoble There is a money back guarantee, which I have never seen anyone use. Fabulous product, and it just works. Got rid of my athritis pain in my hands, allergies gone, and Plantar Fasciitis gone. My thyroid dosage has been lowered, and the bumps they were so watching are gone. It just is absorbed and sent where your body needs it. What you don't need comes out naturally each day. A.

I lost 20 lbs with the help of a meal reaplacement shake in the morning for breakfast and sometimes for lunch. I sometimes ate the meal bars for lunch. They are nutritionally balanced, have over 19 grams of protien, and I personally liked the taste. It wasn't hard for a girl who has never "dieted" before. I still drink the shake for breakfast b/c it satisfies me more than any bowl of cereal or waffle can. I found that by starting my day with a nutritionally balanced foundation changed my eating habits. I no longer craved my sugary candy in the afternoon! My husband started drinking them b/c he liked the vanilla taste (he says they taste like cake batter), then when we ran out he complained he was "getting fat" b/c he was eating breakfast at McD's instead!
Here's the site to it, it explains it all.
The site is www.cinchplan.com/recipeforhealth
There is a support website too, www.cinchclub.com, that has inspirational success stories, recipes, encouragement.

Be careful. There is little to no regulation over weight loss products. We were all warned away from dexatrim years ago, and yet their active ingredient is still in several popular products under different names.

I lost 20 pounds with Arbonne's Figure 8 products in less than 9 weeks (forgot to weigh for two weeks, so when I finally did it was 9 weeks - lol!). A vanilla protein shake for breakfast (20 grams protein per shake, low carb) - mixed it with banana and strawberry and the Fiber Boost supplement. Then for snacks, Arbonne has appetite control chews in chocolate, mocha, and pink lemonade. Made me feel full and like I cheated with chocolate! 30 minutes before each meal, I took a pill supplement that helps you metabolize your food better, feel full so you avoid overeating, and revs up the metabolism to burn more calories off.

When you lose weight, you lose stored toxins, too, since most are stored in fat cells. As a cancer survivor, I can't begin to tell you how important detox is. You should use a Detox system to help clear that out. I used Arbonne's Detox Tea. They also have a 7 Day Body Cleanse that everyone loses at least 4 pounds just detoxing - very gentle. for energy to carry through my time that I get the most tired and weak (wanting to cheat when energy is down), I took their NRGgo3 Fizzing beverage tablets in pomagranate splash - B vitamins, metabolism booster, green tea extract, and a little caffeine).

Easy to get started with gofigure8.com- meal plans, etc.
You can check out my website for ordering information and the 45 day money back guarantee. If you don't lose weight in 45 days, get all your money back no questions asked.

THE DIFFERENCE - All Arbonne's supplements follow these guidelines to protect you. It would not do you well to lose weight in a dangerous way or with toxic products: low carb, high protein, no artificial sweetners (uses stevia), no artificial flavors or colors, low glycemic (perfect for diebetics, TASTE GREAT, supplements meet USP standards for disintegration (most vitamins don't even break down in your body - ask me how to check your vitamins so you don't throw money down the toilet!)

Good luck! If you'd like to sample before you buy, write me back!
Blessings,
L.

I went to the Sunflower Shop near 121 and Glade Road in Colleyvile. They had a appetite control spray that really works for me! It is about 20.00 for an amount that should last close to a month. I use it 2 or 3 times per day, just spraying 3 time into my mouth. It seems to make my brain tell the rest of my body that it is just not particularly in need of food. If I know I need to eat something it doesn't change the taste of the food, but it seems so natural...and it is, as it is a homeopathic remedy. The store has a 45 day money back garauntee (sp)

Hi C.,

I have a smoothie almost every morning for breakfast and it is delicious! It's also low-fat, low-sugar and contains the famous nutritional powder of 17 fruits and veggies found in Juice PLUS+. It's called Complete and it comes in Dutch Chocolate or Swiss Vanilla. You can mix it with milk or soy milk, or change things up a bit by adding juice, frozen fruit, fresh bananas, you name it. They even include recipes that you can try! Here's the website: www.goodhealthmadesimple.com. Click on store, then other products to read more about it.

I would also recommend a good, quality whole food nutrition source like Juice PLUS+ while you are losing weight. You don't want to cut nutrition in the process of cutting calories. You can click on the video on my home page to learn more about the Juice PLUS+ capsules or gummie treats.

Good luck to you!

Hi C.,
I'm sure you know you have to be very careful with diet supplements. Just recently another popular one was taken off the market because of deaths. Advertising is very deceptive and if those things worked so easily no one would be overweight!
Please check out http://www.cinchplan.com/healthforlife. These products are from Shaklee, the number one seller of natural supplements. They are safe, effective and come with a 100% money-back guarantee. Plus, they taste great!
Good luck and God bless.

The only thing that worked for me was writing down every little thing I ate. It's kind of tedious at first but you really only eat the same kinds of food every day. And you can always look up the calories on the internet if you don't know. Just add up the calories you consume each day and you will see how many you are consuming. Also you can exercise but the main thing is the calories. I think someone told me that 90 percent of losing weight is from cutting calories the other 10 percent is from exercise. Just don't cut back too much or you won't have any energy and it isn't healthy. I wrote down everything I ate when I was pregnant and only gained 20-25 pounds. And fit into my normal jeans a week after I delivered without dieting. This was surprising to me because I gained 20 pounds my first trimester by eating too much and I was even exercising every day. So thats when I started to write everything down and was really surprised. Just fill up on fiber foods and drink lots of water. Sweet potatoes were very filling and satisfying as well as oatmeal. Try and eat things that are whole wheat and look at food labels for fiber and sodium content as well. Cutting back on sodium helped make me more lean as well. They have sodium substitutes that were so close to the real thing that I didn't even miss it. Recently I read an article and it stated that you have better results when you write everything down. I hope this helps and that you try it. Good luck!

About a year or so after my second was born I still needed to loose about 10lbs. I am not for the supplements of diet pills as I have high blood pressure and HATE the way they make me feel. PLUS you will gain the weight back right after you stop taking them, most of the time. I did a bunch of research on different ways to change my way of eating and exercise. As you have heard over and over it isn't about dieting its about changing your lifestyle and making eating right and exercise part of your daily routines. I am the type that needs some instant gratification to stay motivated so I read the South Beach Diet book (it looks big but half of it is recipes). It just made sense to me. I waited to start it when most of my weekness foods were out of the house and then started the first two weeks, the strickt part. I lost 6 lbs in one week! I was already mostly there! That first two weeks may be hard but so worth it! It worked for me. Reading the book really helps as you gain an understanding on many levels of your body and how it deals what you put in it. How ever you decide to do it I hope you find what works for you! :)

C.,

There is no quick-fix to losing weight. Diet pills were a popular fad in the 80's & 90's. They are bad for you and they do not work. Life isn't easy. There is no quick weight loss cure. You have to do it the right way (which is the only way) by eating right and exercising. If you want to lose weight, you should work out several times a week and eat healthy, and I promise that you will lose weight. You must cut out sugar (or eat very little of it). A good, healthy breakfast would be oatmeal with berries (lately, I have been eating 1/2 a cup of raw quick cooking oatmeal mixed into a cup of low fat yogurt, with blueberries). That is a great breakfast b/c the oatmeal and berries give you fiber, and the yogurt gives you protein. That should hold you until lunch. If you are hungry before lunch, have a healthy snack, like an apple or a few whole wheat crackers and one or two pieces of cheese. For lunch, you should have a turkey sandwich (no mayo, of course) on whole wheat bread, or PBJ on whole wheat (which is what I eat for lunch every day), an apple (or if you already ate an apple for your morning snack, a different fruit). Drink plenty of water, b/c water does fill you up a bit. Have another healthy snack before dinner, and for dinner, you should eat lean protein no bigger than your fist, lots of veggies (I sautee veggies w/ e.v.o.o. and balsamic vinegar - delish!), and either a half a cup of cooked whole wheat pasta or brown rice. If you eat like this and exercise, you WILL lose weight. You must give up the sweets. Forget diet pills. They are a scam. You have to work hard to be thin. If it is important to you, you will do it. If nothing else, for your health. Good luck!
