I live in southeast Kenosha and I am looking for in-home childcare. I would appreciate it if anyone has any recommendations for me! I have a 5 month old and she would start ASAP! Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

Hi K.,

I do not have any personal recommendations-I am a stay at home mom. But have you checked Craigslist? I am actually going to begin providing childcare to two toddlers next week. I posted an ad on Craigslist offering childcare services. There are many on there. I am also fairly new to Southeast Kenosha. We just moved to White Caps in March. If you are unable to find anything right away, maybe we could work something out to provide temporary childcare. The only reason I say I could only do temporary is that the only thing I have left from my now toddlers is their crib and a few small toys. I can provide an immensely stimulating environment for a toddler, but not so much for an infant besides one to one contact. Good luck with your search and congrats on the new baby. =0)

Hi K.,
My name is D., I am a stay at home mom, and I am about to move to Racine, but will be close enough to Kenosha. I wouldn't mid getting together and having a play date. I have little boy who is almost and little girl who is 9 months old. Where did you move here from and have you heard of a mom's group called MOPS? ---D.

I met this woman through mamasource. I just thought I would pass along the information. Good Luck! J.

I do still do daycare and have openings for under 2 years old, it just depends on what days you are looking. Are you looking full time or part time? Are you located in the Kenosha area? I am right off the interstate on 104th Ave between Highway 50 and 158 in the Horizons subdivision.

Please feel free to contact me off mamasource at ____@____.com or ###-###-####. If I can't help you with the days, I have a list of other providers in the area who I have networked with. There is bound to be someone you are comfortable with.

Hi K.

I am an Area Director with AuPairCare. We place our live-in au pairs in homes to provide childcare services for caring American families. You need to have a private bedroom available for your au pair. The au pairs all share a love for children and are highly screened and background-checked.

Our standard program is a unique year-long experience combining dedicated childcare and cultural exchange. Au pairs provide up to 45 hours of care per week, not to exceed 10 hours per day. Hours are flexible, so you can work with your au pair to create a schedule to accommodate your family's needs. They can also do housework related to the children - such as the children's laundry, preparing light meals and keeping their rooms and play areas clean. The cost averages $320/week - regardless of the number of kids. The process takes about 6 - 10 weeks from the moment you apply until your au pair arrives at your door.

I would love to talk with you and answer any questions you might have. I can also arrange for you to speak with some current host families to get their views on the program and how they have enjoyed it.

Please call me at ###-###-#### or email me at ____@____.com can also visit our website at www.aupaircare.com.

I hope to talk with you soon!

Sincerely,
M. Falcus
AuPairCare Area Director
