Hi ladies:
My sister is expecting her first baby (yeah!) and I'm looking for the perfect place to have her shower in April. It needs to be somewhere in the West/Southwest Suburbs since that's where the family is. Do you know of any place with a great view and great food? We'll likely have 20-30 people attend. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I've been to many showers at Stancato's restaurant in Parma. It has a separate party room and has great food. Hope this helps!

Hi J.!
Congrats to you and your sister!!! How excited you must be!!!
Our son's baby shower was held at the Grand Pacific Junction Hotel on Rt 252 (Columbia Rd) in Olmsted Falls. I had driven past there for years and just loved the place, so when I found out that we were pregnant I knew we had to have the shower there. It was beautiful...the food was great and everyone had a really great time. Here is the link if you are interested http://grandpacificjunction.com/hotel.shtml.
We also had our wedding shower at Sweetwater Landing at the Emerald Necklace Marina. It is in Rocky River. What a view!!! The room overlooks the marina and river. Spring would be a great time for this room. Here is a link for it as well http://www.sweetwaterlanding.com/.
Good luck with your search. I am sure that no matter where you pick your sister will love it!!!

Hey J.,
My girlfriend had a baby shower at Damon's off of Bagley Road in Middleburg Heights. They set up half the restaurant for her and made a general simple menu that had like 4 main dishes, 4 sides and what not. From what I understand it was not pricey at all and they were able to have it for 3-4 hours, I believe. I would also check into hotel, they usually have some type of room or if you have a family/friend that lives in an apartment there's usually a party center that you could put the reservation in their name and since they live there they could get a deal on it! I did that for my girlfriend. You could also do like a pot luck or an orderve (sp) party if you want something less formal! Good Luck!

I would suggest Sweetwater Cafe in Rocky River. It's in the metroparks. Great food and very pretty!

I don't know how close this is to you or prices but I went to a bridal shower and wedding/reception at Mapleside Farms in Brunswick just outside Strongsville. The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. The view is spectacular. It's an hour away from me but well worth the drive. Good luck with the baby shower! www.maplesidefarm.com
