J.,

I had my sister's Bridal Shower at a Tea Room...there were only eight of us, since it was a small wedding and we had the best time! At the same time we were doing our Shower, their was a Baby Shower happening...and, it looked super cool.

Have fun!

Hi J., when Igave my sister a baby shower, I held it right at my house, my girlfriend who through my baby showers, did it at her house, you don't need a public place ones home works perfectly. J. L.

I would ask a relative or friend that has a good size home to host it for you as a gift. I went to one a few weeks ago at a park that was great especially for us moms who have kids. They did the cake and then presents so that the kids could eat their cake and moms with kids in attendance could watch the presents being opened. The mom's how brought their kids presents were opened first. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon with friends celebrating the baby shower and still being able to spend time with our kids.

depending on weather find a nice park that is nearby. I have had several baby showers for people at the park and it works out great. especially if you find a park with nice backround. Like a duck pond or something.

Its cheap to do it at the park and you can even call and reserve tables at certian parks. ($25) usually.

Good luck

HI

I threw my sister in law's baby shower last year. I had it at my home, although not a big house and 50 guest showed up.
it turned out great. I did a jungle theme. I got a bunch of stuff animals, like lions, monkeys, tigers, ect.. I hung the monkeys from (Christmas garland) the green stuff that looks like real pine, took some tiki tourches from the backyard and criss crossed them, hung animals from my plants in the house, got a jungle theme cake, had jungle theme balloons, and covered the mother to be chair in jungle print and of course served snacks and sandwiches from like port of subs. I also played jungle music in the back ground. She so loved the party and thought I was decorated so cute, and of course I gave her all the stuffed animals to take with her. Home is cheap and you do not have to worry about carry a much of stuff to another location. I am now planning a bridal shower for someone else and she asked if we can do it at my home...Remember,
you must think about the mother to be and how many times she may have to use the restroom and that she has something comfortable to sit on. Good luck...and have fun.
On other suggestion is, you might try a restaurant like olive garden or something in that venue that will let you have a baby shower.

hope this helps.

Julie

How about a nearby Mimi's cafe? You just pay for the food and drinks (tax and tips also). No decorations, other than the cake you bring and/or balloons you may have sparingly of. You pick the plate..as little as a salad to a shrimp dish.

I had one for my best friend and had it in between (a focal point -Monrivia).
