Searching for Chiropractor Who Specializes in Pediatrics...

I'm searching for a chiropractor who specializes in working with small children. My 20 month old has chronic ear infections, and his peditrician is talking about him having the ear tubal surgery done. I want to try and avoid this if at all possible. I should have taken him to a chiropractor when he was a baby - he was colicky, and had eating and sleeping problems forever! We live in the Bolingbrook (SW burbs) so somewhere relatively close would be nice. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

My son also had chronic ear infections. They had to put tubes in his ears and he gets them a lot less. They said with how bad his ear infections were that they were surprised that there was not hearing loss. We get his hearing checked every 6 months. His speech was also bad, and never talked until the tubes were inserted at two(he is 6 now). We did not go to a Chiropractor. His pediatrician (you might want to start there)gave us a referral to Naperville's Ears, Nose and Throat Specialist. They are located by Edward's Hospital on Martin Ave. We saw Dr. Rodney Caniglia and he also did the surgery. Here is his phone number ###-###-####

The Chiropractor at Chiropractic One in Romeoville (119th and Weber) specializes in pediatrics. He's really nice and adjusts my 3 year old all the time....he does a great job. I'm also going to start my 2 month old with him soon. Here's the phone number:

I don't have the exact address, but like I said it's at 119th and Weber in the industrial park...they are all very nice there and the girls that work there love playing with the kids while you get adjusted. Good luck!

about him not talking yet....my 3 year old didn't talk until a couple weeks before his second birthday and then just took off...he doesn't stop talking now! Could be the ears, but I wouldn't worry too much about it yet.

A new pediatric chiropractor just opened in downtown La Grange. I am not certain of the name, but it is on La Grange Rd.

Hi,
We use a fantastic pediatric chiropractor for our whole family. His name is Dr. Hendricks and he works in Oswego, off Rte 34/30 about 5 minutes west of Fox Valley Mall. We come from Plainfield and though there are some much closer, Dr. Hendricks is so professional and fun for the kids, as well as competent and helpful, that it's worth the drive. His number is ###-###-####. I also used him for prenatal care and my labor was only 3, relatively easiy hours! Oh, the practice is called N8 Health Centre...263 N. Merchants Drive, Oswego.

Hope that helps!

Dr. Charles Majors is right on 135th and Weber (behind the BP amoco). My son goes to him and he's done great things for his allergies/asthma.

Here's the info:

Please feel free to contact me if you need any other info, or want to talk.

I know that Cyndi has already recommended Dr. Charles Majors who has an office in Romeoville. He has been our chiropractor for about 2 years now and we absolutely love him! He has been instrumental in helping my very sick infant (multiple severe allergies) become a healthy, vibrant toddler. I recommend him wholeheartedly - meeting Dr. Majors inhanced the health and wellbeing of my entire family!

Dr Steve Superczynski on Washington Street in Naperville is Certified for Pediatrics. He is a very nice man, and he and his wife are expecting their first. ###-###-####

I'm sure where you decide to go will depend on the location, not sure where you are located. Also, look at diet. My daughter had ear infections and it was related to a sensitivity to milk products. They were greatly reduced when we took her off of dairy. It may not be the dairy in you case, it could be something else. One clue is to observe what they crave. Too much sugar weakens their immune system response, and that is why so many kids are ill at Thanks giving and Christmas. Too many sugar type treats are around starting with Halloween.

Hope this helps. D. V.
