Santa Pics Somewhere Other than a Mall

Any Santa pic options out there that don't take place at a mall? I'm tired of overpriced pics taken by kids who barely know where the on/off switch is. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Well Northpark's santa is awesome. They've had the same guy there for years. I was at Northpark this Friday, Saturday and today and every time the line wasn't that bad and that was on the weekend. They have him in a store setting instead of sitting in the middle of the mall and I can guarentee that the people working there know what they're doing. The prices might be high though. He's downstairs near the Apple store. Anyway, I know it's a "mall santa" but just thought I'd share anyway.

I have heard that the Bass Pro Shop has a good santa set up. Never been myself though.

I second the Villages of Allen! We took the kids for a random trip to ToysRUs yesterday and on a whim we stopped to get out and look at the giant tree. Once we were out of the car, we saw a pen with reindeer so we went to check that out, and eventually we ran into Santa. This one was ultra nice and the kids loved him. There was no line and he asked me if we just wanted him to talk to the kids for a few minutes, we didn't need to buy a picture. That said, earlier in the day we had gone to Willow Bend and had a nightmare episode that resulted in a Christmas "mugshot" of our kids that we paid through the nose for. Anyways, I went ahead and had pictures done with Santa at the Village of Allen and not only were their prices more reasonable than the mall, but we got some absolutely adorable pics.

They also have a big Santa shaped box where your kiddo can put a letter to Santa if they want. The area was beautifully decorated and we all had a really great time.

Very nicely done, would highly recommend!!!

Well walmart is offering free pics with santa. You can go to Walmart.com and see when they are going to be taking them. You can take your own and go online to walgreens.com and put a border on them too.. Walmart will give you a free 5x7..

We had ours done at The Picture People in Stonebriar Mall on Monday and they came out awesome. We were able to make and appointment so we did not have to wait forever. We also got to pick the picture that we liked the best. I had a coupon so I got an 8x10 free and purchased 2 5x7's, walked away paying under $16 with tax.

Santa looked awesome and my daughter was able to spend some one on one time with him, which you never get with the mall Santa. The bad thing was that the mall Santa was almost right outside the door so we had to carefully avoid running into another Santa.

I know there is a new Santa at Watters Creek this year. Not sure how good....

We always did ours at Northpark Mall and it was top of the line with same Great Santa every year. I have 6 yrs worth of pics with my daughter with him that are precious. My daughter turns 14 this yr but I know the same Santa is at Northpark now. He is WORTH it.....

Surprisingly, a few years ago, I discovered that the Bass Pro Shop has a Santa and photographer. I've taken my son twice--there was never a line!

Santa and his reindeer are at Villages of Allen (On Stacey, East side of 75). It is out doors so dress warm. There was no line when we went and it is a very nice spot to take pictures even if you don't want to fork over the $$$ for Santa pictures.

Have a Merry Christmas!
