Where Do You Go to See Santa?

Just wondering if anyone has any good Santa recommendations. Also, do any of them let you take your own picture in addition to the one they make you buy? First time doing this. We have a 6 month old daughter and want to get some cute pics for the grandparents. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I would highly recommend going to Crown Center. You can take your own photos but they also take very nice ones which are reasonably priced. We went last year and bought the photo with a wall-hanging type advent calendar and I believe we only around $10 or $15 for both. From the prices I've seen listed at the Oak Park and Great Mall they are extremely expensive.

Bass pro shop! They have a santa village too. you take a # and go play then when they call your number you go get the picture taken. No waiting in line!! plus they give you a free 4x6 photo and then if you want more you can buy some too.

The last two years I have taken my son to see the Santa at Nebraska Furniture Mart. He is there Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4pm, and they will give you a free pictures (taken on a digital camera, printed out right there). That Santa is a great one (if it's the same guy as the last 2 years)...very good with kids, and I haven't seen anyone be frightened of him.

We always go to Crown Center. They have a really nice play area called, "Crayola Land" (at least when she gets bigger) and they let you take your own pictures. The same Santa has been there for over 20 years and is kind of known as "Kansas City's Santa". The one thing I should say though is the line is really long on the weekends. We went last weekend and waited nearly two hours from start to finish but it was worth it and the kiddos loved it!

I don't know where you are at, but both of the Bass Pro Shops have great Santas and unlike paying $25 buck for a picture at the mall, theirs are FREE!!! And you can take your own also. There are lots of other free activities for the kids, although your baby is probably too young for them this year.

The best Santa and Mrs. Claus are at the Family Tree Nursery's they will be at the Overland Park store on Sat. and the Shawnee store on Sun. this weekend only. They are the real thing and have been doing this for years with Family Tree. The line goes fairly quickly and you can take your own pictures. They set them up in the green house with Poinsettias surrounding them it is a perfect setting. Then you can see all the beautiful trees they display and more. have fun. I think you can go to their website to see more info. familytreenursery.com

We've gone to Town Center the last 2 years and were happy with them. The picture packages seemed fairly reasonable. There was no line the first year we went, but last year, we waited at least 45 min... with an 18 mo old! This year we may try someplace else.
