My daughter in law just switched docs and chose one on Duke st in the park just off duke st near the ball stadium. Try to look up the practice, she is very pleased, and wasn't with the last group. If you have any trouble finding them, email me when you get here.

I have 3 kids (ages 2-14) and use the Duke Roxboro Road Clinic. All the doctors there are great. Their phone number is ###-###-####. My oldest sees the adolecent specialists (they only see ages 11 to 18). My middle sees Dr. Moses and my baby sees Dr. Landolfo. The only reason Dr. Moses is not her primary is because he was on vacation when she was born. I work in the medical field and am very please with the office. When they are sick, I never have problems with them getting in to the sick clinic. Most of the time there are interns or residents seeing the sick kids, but will ask their attending for help if they have any questions. Dr. Landolfo is good, but sometimes overcautious. She also complains about my child's weight at most appointments. (She only gained 10 pounds in her first 18 months which is not unusual for my family). The office is laid out nicely (they have a sick area and a well child area, I've never had a problem with parking and it is easy to get to depending on where you will live in Durham. Good Luck and welcome to Durham.

Hi B.! I have been taking my now 2 year old son to Durham Pediatrics since birth. They are great with him and their office is really nice. They have early morning emergency hours and are open on Saturday and Sunday too. I personally use Dr. Gagliano, but we have no complaints about the other doctors there. I visit the North Duke Street office in Central Medical Park, but they do have a South branch near South Pointe Mall. I hope this information helps. Good luck on your move.

Both of my boys see Dr. Susan Owens with Duke Children's Primary Care. She sees pkids at their office near Southpoint, but the practice has offices in a few places around town, so you could pick a spot close to where you live if you want. We love Dr. Owens, and she has three kids of her own, but she may not be taking new patients. We have also seen Dr. Mangarelli (in the same practice) for sick visits, and I like her too.

One note: Duke residents, as well as the attending pediatricians, see the kids at the practice's Roxboro St. office . And while I know it's important for the residents to get their training (my husband is a doctor), it takes that much longer when extra doctors have to check your child out. We've had to have appointments there for last-minute sick visits (and the office is actually very close to our home), and while I have no problem with the level of skill with any of the doctors there, it's just hard to have appointments take any longer than they need to since kids, sick or otherwise, don't hold up very well for long periods of time. :) Just something to consider. Good luck with your move!

Hi B.~
We see Dr. Galiano at Highgate Pediatrics. It's near Hwy 54 and Fayetteville road. She's pretty good and does well my LO. It also depends on where you are moving to in Durham, it may be a drive.
Just a coincidence, that's about the age my son was when we moved here.
I don't know what you're plans are but when you move here, I belong to a Durham stroller group (it's part of meetup.com) and I've met some awesome moms/babies through the group because I didn't know anyone here yet. Good luck with the move!

Hi B.,

I have three kids all under the age of 5 and they go to Regional Pediatrics. They have two offices in Durham and all of the doctors are really nice and caring. Dr. Wang is one of my favorites because he's very personable, knowledgable, and nice. My 2 yr old had to have surgery a year ago and he went out of his way to contact her surgeon after the fact and call me at work to ease some of my concerns. The number to their main office is ###-###-####. Good luck and I hope you like Durham. There are some good places to take your little one for fun in the triangle area.

I like Durham Peds, at Highgate or on Duke Street. Dr. Clark and Dr. Gagliano are GREAT!!! They have both been with my babies since the beginning. They are straightforward and very caring. Althought every parent I know has a different Dr. and are all very happy with them.

I take my child to Regional Pediatrics and absolutely love them. They have two offices in the area and a great after hours call service. My child is three years old and has been going since birth. I also love the fact that if you have to call the after hours nurse line, the physician actually calls back to check on things. They're very thorough and have evening hours also. I highly recommend them!!

We go to Durham Pediatrics on Duke St. as well. We prefer to see Dr. Greene only. Other Dr. are good too, but according to me Dr. Greene is the best. He is personable and very freindly. He knows his stuff well and I trust whatever he says. We see other Dr. only when there is no choice and its urgent.

We love Dr. Greene at Durham Pediatrics. There are about 6-8 docs in the practice, but he is our favorite. Even on his busy days, he doesn't seem rushed. Some of the others seem like they can't get out of the room fast enough. You can request any doctor when you make an appointment, or they just give you one. Their number is ###-###-####
