Doe anyone know of a place, in Katy or the edge of Houston, for recycling aluminum for money? Times are hard, as you all know. I have driven to a place in downtown, I think, Katy on T St, doesn't exist, all the other places don't answer. Please let me know, I have bees swarming around these cans!!

What can I do next?

Firstly, I would definitly rinse the cans out & rinse them off good before putting them in the bin. That will keep away the bees, yellow jackets, flies, etc. I know C&D Scrap metal takes cans (they have commercials on tv all the time). There's also another recycling place that recently started advertising but can't think of the name just now. You can probably look in the phone book or online for recycling places. I know yrs ago, some grocery stores had automatic bins where you put your cans in & it automatically spit out change for you depending on the amount you tossed in; you can certainly keep that in mind to look out for as well. The only other ones I know of are the bins at the local schools that you just 'donate' your cans, paper, etc.. Sorry I can't be more of help. Good luck & be sure to rinse those cans out! It gets the sticky off/out.

We have one in our Sam's club parking lot. However ours is a little far from you. It is off of 290 and west but it might be worth looking into your local Sam's club or at least call them.

There is a place on Tanner Road between Eldridge and the Beltway. Don't know the name of it, but I know they give $ for cans. Good Luck!

Hi M., both of these companies recycle aluminum cans and Vista also does tin (like canned food cans I think). Vista is closest to Katy, it's off Brittmoore near I-10. Goodluck!
