Hi moms,

I was wondering if any of you would know where I could donate my son's little league uniform. They are stain free in good condition. I bought 2 sets of pants and socks, belt and cleats. I'd like to donate them to somewhere other than Goodwill.
Thanks for your help in advance.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the advice. I had gone to our coach and asked about how to donate the uniforms and cleats. They never got back to me. I tried to contact the league but it led to no where. I finally found a local Play it again sports and donated there.

check and see if the league has an exchange program or a donation program. Is your son going to be on the same team next year or a different team? and has he outgrown the uniform--most of the time the belts are adjustable and can be used for several years (unless they change colors)? Maybe find out who is coaching that "named" team next season and offer the stuff to them for someone on that team that might need some help.

Check to see if you have a local "Play it Again Sports" store. Its used sports equipment. You can sell to them or do consignment. I just googled "Play it again sports" and there are many across the country. You can put in your zipcode and it will show you where one is close to you. Many parents go there first to shop for sports gear for their kids. Try it!!

I don't know where a good place to outright donate them might be, but our local consignment shop takes pants and cleats.

Why don't you offer them for free through Craig's List or other such avenue?

maybe ask the Little Leauge coach if he knows of any families that you can give it to. or just give it to the little league and they can give it to a family who is in need.

We have a local thrift shop that takes anything (okay -within reason) and the majority of the people that "shop" there are low income....

You could also try "freecycle" or "craigslist"
