We have a jumparoo. It's completely freestading and can move to any room, which is great! It does take up a bit of space, but it was worth it to us.

I have to second the fisher price rainforest jumperoo. My son LOVES it more than life itself. It's got lots of things to play with, is adjustable, and is very sturdy. And important is that you can remove and wash the seat if there's an accident..

The Fisher Price jungle themed jumparoo is the one we had for my son. He LOVED It!! And I got it off Craigslist for like $25. Buy used if you can. My son hated the Johnny Jump Up that you put in the door. He has an older exersaucer, not even sure of the brand, but loved it as well. Anything with bright colors and lots of things to look at/do will work!

I think mine was a baby einstein one. My son liked it at daycare, so that is the one I got.

We had both the jumparoo that you attach to the door frame and the free-standing kind. When my oldest daughter came (she's 5), I don't remember them having the free-standing ones and she HATED the one that went in the doorway. Our second daughter (2) had both. She was okay with the one that hung in the doorway (it was in our bedroom) but she LOVED the free-standing one. I think ours is the Rainforest one. Our younger daughter walked early (9 months) and I think it was partially due to the fact that her leg muscles were so strong from bouncing.

Honestly any jumparoo/saucer is pretty darn fun for kids! The Einstein one is fun, and although we didn't have that one at our house both my kids played with it a friends and it was super fun. We just had a plain one wiht a few toys that we got for free from someone and it was just as captivating! I would try and find a used one somewhere and go with that. They can be expensive and they only use it for a couple of months!

I offer the same advice with a Johnny Jump-Up. I was convinced my kids would love it b/c they were/are both so active and love to jump around and bounce, but both kids hated it! I think it's funny, b/c I think it looks fun, but they were not interested...I guess you'll never know what they'll be drawn too!
