So, I normally have no problem throwing a nice party for my kids. But, this one has me stumped! I mentioned to my almost 6 year old that I had a rainbow brite 6th birthday (probablt my most memorable) and she decided that she wanted the same. Cute haw?! Anyway, I thought Rainbow Brite made a come back but I can't find anything substantial...

She is having 4 girls sleep over...any ideas???

What can I do next?

Have you looked at Oriental Trading's website? They always have lots of party supplies. Also, my daughter and I made a sheet cake one year where we made a rainbow out of M&M's. The kids loved it.

A friend's sister had a hard time doing Mario Bros. She got a pinata made though and did favors that incorportated Mario Bros. Then, it turned out, she found the party stuff at a store on-line.
Maybe you could do a pinata of Rainbow Bright? I know, a little weird to be hitting at a character. The plates, napkins, etc. can just be in coordinating rainbow colors. Good luck!!!

I love www.birthdaypartyideas.com. Not sure how much you'll find re Rainbow Brite specifically (check ebay or etsy for vintage items) but I'm sure you'll find lots of ideas for rainbows and 6 year old girls. Have fun!

The only thing I can think of is Ebay. Other than that, just be really colorful. You could print out iron on transfers from pics on the web and make t-shirts for the girls (Michaels has t's for five bucks so not too pricey.) Cute theme though, sorry it's not widely available!

If you go online you can find the plates, napkins, hats and supplies. My daughter had one a few years ago and I found the stuff at Walmart. I'm not sure it's there anymore. But try www.partyexpress.com and try to google it. Maybe someone on ebay has goody bags.

You can have all kinds of food with rainbow colors. You can make rainbow cupcakes with food coloring for the cake (use white cake mix) and then make rainbow icing. Lots of jello in many colors. You can make a fruit pizza with strawberries, oranges, kiwi, etc.

Here is a site I love for birthday party suggestions. They had a few Rainbow/Rainbow Brite themes. Maybe it can help.

I just found a Rainbow Brite cake pan in my attic...wish you lived closer. :)
