Anyone know of a way to loose weight quickly (I am not talking about weeks but with a few months) I would like to loose about 30 or so pounds. Had my first child a year ago and just can't get back to my prepregnancy weight. Working 2 jobs I barely have time to do any kind of excerising which doesnt help either

ok honestly I know this is not what you want to hear but if you really want to get rid of the weight and keep it off then you have to be patient...I have two children and youngest is 15 months old...well i decided in march that i was really serious about losing the weight. So I started really watching what I ate and realized that just eating less was not going to help...also I am like you to and I didn't have time to go to the gym or anything like that so I bought a treadmill and I jog on that about 5 times a week..just for 30 minutes or so...I have been though countless different diets that have just failed in the long run...except for this..I have now lost all of the fifty pounds that I gained with my son and weigh less then I did before I had my first child..altogether losing about 70 pounds so far...let me know if you have any questions and good luck!

I lost all the pregnancy weight (40 lbs) in 4 months on the south beach diet. The first 2 weeks are mega strict, but if you stick it out, the weight melts off. I hardly worked out either....carrying around my baby was exercise enough. Good luck.

Quick Healthy weight loss is eat more "better for you" foods and excercise. I used to use the excuse that I didn't have time to excercise. When I switched jobs I started working with a lady who has 5 kids. She is a physical therapist, diabetic and very healthy. When I realized how long of a day she worked and how demanding her 5 kids are at home and that she STILL made time to go to the gym everymorning, it made me feel lazy. But, once I started excercising and eating better I have been watching the pounds fall off. Good luck! ALSO sparkpeople.com and babyfit.com are GREAT sites that are REALLy helping me.

Everyone I know who has done the South Beach Diet, including my husband and I, lost weight on it. You do gain it back eventually unless you stick with it, though - but if you want to lose relatively quickly, it's a great diet for keeping away the hunger pangs. I really didn't feel hungry when I was on it.

Of course you gain weight back with just about every diet, as far as I know. South Beach is relatively healthy and my husband's doctor was the one who recommended it to him. I just don't care much for meat (we eat almost all vegetarian meals now) and it's a very hard diet to do without eating meat at just about every meal.
