Problem with Lactating

I haven't breastfed in over 3 years and my right breast is still lactating. I can still feel the drop of the milk in both breast but only have problems leaking in the right breast. It happens in random, so I'm never expecting it. I've done the bondage, no stimulation, and tight clothes day and night. I'm very frustrated, and not sure what to do next. I've been to my doctor and he says there's nothing he can give me to help. I could really use some advice. Going out with the girls and lactating through my shirts was the last straw for me.

Thank you.

What can I do next?

This is going to sound very strange but I was told by my doc to do this to stop the lactating and it works! Take a leaf of cabbage and stuff it in your bra. keep it on until it gets kind of wilty (body heat). Do this a couple times a day (more if you can). If I was home, I kept it in all day.

Weird..but something in the cabbage draws it out. At night, I'd bind myself.

Once you breastfeed for more than a week or so, your body remembers it. That is why I tell so many women - your breasts will NEVER dry up. They produce very little and without suckling, none will be copiously abundant, but will have enough to leak on the very rare occasion.

Are you sure it's milk? Sometime when women have a yellowish or milk like discharge, many times it can also be a cyst. May want a mammogram.

That has got to be frustrating! I was advised to use the cabbage leaves and sudafed when I was finished nursing my baby. Lots of cold helped too. Hope you find something that works for you.

Have you used sage? You can cook with it, and also make a tea out of the leaves. Good luck.
