We have just recently been noticing that each time we open our dishwasher we have 3-7 ants in there! The "regular size" black ants. We don't have them anywhere else & we load our dishwasher everyday. Any advice on how to get rid of them?

What can I do next?

You can find it at any Long's Drug stores, garden stores, home depot etc. Its easy to find.

Ants are attracted to moisture... and food stuff.
good luck,

they could be coming up through the draining hose which is usually attached to the kitchen sink. Is your weather warming up, because that's when they start coming out. Large black ants are often wood ants "Carpenter". I would try to trace the source.

You need to find how they are getting in there and you might need to pull the dishwasher out and look behind it. Max Force gel works wonders!!!

If you like the more natural approach: Cinnamon. I went and bought a big container at the 99 cent store and did a little trail around my front door where they were coming in and voila, no more ants. It was crazy. A few days later I cleaned up the Cinnamon. No problems since.
