I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation on a good prenatal vitamin that I can take. I am not pregnant but we are thinking of trying soon and I would like to start on a good prenatal vitamin. Thanks.

What can I do next?

I took the generic Walgreens brand vitamins when I was pregnant with my son because it was all I could afford. He came out strong and healthy and big as a horse! I don't think you need to buy a fancy brand. The cheap ones work just fine.

I buy my from Hi Health. It was suggested to me to buy your vitiams from a health store instead of grocery store. they are more expensive but better for you.

Rainbow Light Prenatal Vitamins $9.99 for 50ct at Target. They are gentle on the stomach so you can take it with meals anytime. I use to take Nature's Made and they made me vomit after eating.

Plus I didn't know before about taking DHA supplement..so now I'm taking Expecta Lipil DHA (no fishy taste) made by Enfamil $10.99 for 30ct at Target too.

I highly recommend Vitality for Life Prenatal. Melaleuca is the manufacturer and they use a process that pre-binds minerals to fructose (fruit sugar) molecules to make them easier to absorb. Minerals latch on to other things, like the acid in spinach, for example that can make them harder to absorb on the cellular level. Our bodies love sugar and prebinding the minerals prevents them from latching onto other things. PM me if you want more info. on ordering them. Melaleuca is a mail-order company.

Hi K.!
You can find prenatal vitamins at Target or WalMart, or any other pharmacy and you can get the Prenatal Brand name, or you can get the generic. They're both great. I've worked in Pharmacy for over 13 years, and the hospitals that I've worked at have always used the Prenatal Brand name. :-) Best wishes on conceiving! :-) And I'm also glad to read that you're planning ahead with the prenatal vitamins. Take some extra Folic Acid before conception as well and this will also help your baby a great deal. :) Best wishes,G.

I don't want to give you a vitamin speech of why to use these products...no sales pitch here. I am a distributor and happy consumer of Natures Sunshine. www.naturessunshine.com
I took their products thru my entire pregnancy and my daughter is now 7 months-I still take them.
Natures prenatal, calcium, DHA, folic acid, herbal CA, red raspberry, and C. I have more info on this if you want it, just email me here. I used a nutritionist. My daughter was 2-3 months ahead on all the milestones and I think it was because of my vitamin intake. I spent about $300.00 over the 10 months for vitamins.

I took the generic Target brand prenatal vitamins with both of my children. I still actually take them even though my daughter is two. They are easy on the stomach and very affordable. I had tried some samples from the dr. with my first and they all seemed to bother my stomach. These were the only ones that didn't. Good luck and best wishes.
