I third the Snoogle, loved it and made my second and third pregnancy so much more enjoyable. The only problem was that my hubbie loved it too.

I used the Snoogle too. I have a history of back pain due to scoliosis, so the pregnancy just made that worse. It's pricey, but well worth it for me. It helped me keep my body aligned, and I kept part of it between my knees to keep my back straight. I loved it so much I dragged it along with me when my husband and I stayed at a cabin for our "babymoon".

I did what the previous poster suggested. The body pillows were $10 and I got a pillow case for it that was like $10. Much cheaper than a pregnancy pillow. I like sleeping on my tummy, and sleeping on my side always made my back hurt and arm go to sleep. That pillow made it much better because I could kind of lean on it semi on my tummy (if that makes any sense).

Hi K.!

I am 26 weeks and this is my third baby too :) I too pondered about what pillow to get and I decided to try the body pillow (again), but this time I got a great one at Bed Bath and Beyond. It is Laura Ashley and it is really full and fluffy. I also bought a microfiber cover and it is really soft! Congrats on the new one :)

I'm 7 months along and so far a body pillow has worked for me. I have heard good things about the pregnancy pillows but I think it really depends on what kind of support you need. I just needed something between my ankles and knees and a place to rest my arm. I know some women like more support directly under their belly but I have a select comfort bed that cradles me so I don't need the extra support directly under my belly. If you have a harder bed that something that lifts your belly will probably be more comfortable.

I got mine from Target - it was less than $50, it's shaped like a giant cheeto - curls at the top and slightly at the bottom. You can use it as a pillow for your head, stomach or back, and legs.

I've also used it to prop myself and son up to sleep when my son was sick with the cold and couldn't lie down and be comfortable.

My husband first got me a cheap body pillow from Wal-Mart, but it did not help. The Snoogle (I think that's what it's called--it's shaped like a "C") was wonderful. It gave great support. It kept me from rolling from my side to my back and gave good low back support by fitting comfortably between my knees. I loaned it to my SIL and she couldn't sleep without it either! HTH!

I just used a regular body pillow w/ my 1st pregnancy, but gave in and spent $50 on the boppy pregnancy pillow (got it at target). I LOVED it...so worth the $$. It's great support when you are nursing as well.
