Need Help with Choosing Pregnancy Pillow

I know there have been a few requests out there about pregnancy pillows, but I have a really bad back without being pregnant...I am only 8 weeks right now, but am finding it difficult to sleep on my back and I can't sleep on my side unless I have a pillow between my legs...I have tried regular pillows, but they move and then I end up waking up on my back...I have looked at the Boppy Total Body Pillow and the Leacho Back 'N Belly (which is considerably larger) and the Snoogle...(I know these all cost money, but considering I'll be using whichever pillow I get for the rest of this pregnancy and hopefully through another, I am willing to invest in the pillow...I cannot use regualr pillows, I have tried)...what did you all do?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I haven't bought one yet, but I am going back and forth between the Snoogle and the Leacho Back 'N Belly (since I can have support on both sides then)...unless anyone has some negative comments about the Back 'N Belly?

I used the Back n' Belly thru two pregnancies and I love it. I liked how I could lay somewhat on my back with the one side under me and my belly was supported with the other side but I wasn't directly on my back. It is a monster - my husband and I laughed all teh time about how big it was but it was the only way I got any sleep especially at the end!

For my preg's I used the boppy pillow, when I was done using them I saw a recall on the boppy pillow and the cover that goes with it because it is made in China and it had large amounts of lead in it.
It made me real mad.
So whatever you buy, stay away from the boppy.

I wish you the best and God bless.

I used the one from onestepahead.com. It was their brand, I think? Anyway it is much like the snoogle and is $70. Like you I have back issues from the start and it was well worth the investment! A true lifesaver! (and backsaver) It is a U shape and while my husband bocked at the room it took up on the bed, I was completely comfortable and rested in the morning. We took it to "L&D" also they marveled at it. Yes, I bought it early in pregnancy as I was sleepy a lot in the first trimester. I also bought the "My brest friend" pillow for breastfeeding it supports the back as well as the baby while feeding, I had a boppy with my first one and hands down the "my breast friend" was much better! We also liked the Co sleeper that attached to the bed for the night feedings. Not that you asked for that much info! Sorry! Best of luck to you with your new bundle of joy! That right now may feel like a back ache or upset tummy and nausea! The means to an end!

I love the Snoogle! I am at the end of my second pregnancy and am so glad I found it in my first pregnancy. It has been a lifesaver and I even buy it for friends when they find out they are pregnant. I like because it can wrap around your whole body. (from yuor shoulder down between the knees and back up) Sometimes it can be a hassle to turnover, since you have to untangle yourself. But I think it is worth because it always seems to fit where I need it too. Especially behind my back which needed the most support.

I used 2 body pillows one on each side of me. This only works if you have a big bed and understanding spouse =) It kept me from rolling onto my back and made switching sides easier.

I just used a regular body pillow....way too much money to spend on those other things when you have all kinds of stuff to get for the baby. Don't worry about ending up on your back. It's not really a problem until the baby gets big enough to put pressure on your back/blood vessels, which if I remember right isn't until like 7 months or so.
