Piercing Going Wrong!

Have you been keeping it cleaned at least three times a day with peroxide and alcohol????????? If not you need to right away. If you have I would go back to where I had the piercing done and see what they say. They could have used a dirty tool.

get vit e capsules, and stick the capsule w/ a pin and put the oil on the scar.
don't eat any sugar, no fake sweeteners either, no junk in your diet- that makes scars worse.
find someone to do nutrition w/ you

My girlfriend and I went and had our noses pierced at the same time. While mine healed just fine, hers developed the same thing you explained. Because she really did like the piercing she didnt want to just let it go, she went and had it re-pierced with a titanium post. Alot of places just use surgical steel which may have been the cause. Even the new piercer said the same thing. I would recommend either purchasing a titanium post if you can easily remove it or just have it re-pierced with titanium. As far as cleaning it, I would recommend Bactine spray. Hope all goes well. Good Luck!

I used to be a tattoo artist
and worked beside pro piercing for years.

For any new piercing, or one that's giving you redness,
swelling or pus:
Wash the site with LATHERED antiseptic soap.
Spin the jewelry.
Rinse with water.
Rinse with saline.
Apply a healing oil.
(I dont advocate for use of mineral oils
or petroleums on skin...I'd opt for tee trea or eucalyptus,
though that may be too harsh for some)

Keloids are a problem.

I remove piercings wherever keloids show up.
They usually go down a bit with removal of the jewelry.

Hot compresses. Take a wash-cloth or a small hand towel, wet it and heat it up in the microwave, apply it to the area to get the puss and infection out. Keep working on it till it naturally opens up and drains. DON'T SQUEEZE! If it gets really bad call a dermatoligist.

I had good luck using tea tree oil on one of my cartilage piercings after it started to keloid. Treat it as Sherry suggested and give the tea tree oil some time to work before you give up on the piercing unless you've decided not to keep it.

Get to a Dr.! My daughter had MRSA and it is no joke! It started out looking like a little ant bite, and within three days we were in the ER @ Arnold Palmer and she was being anaesthetised to have it cut out of her leg! She had IV antibiotics, and 2 oral antibiotics. The Dr.s said that it was rampant EVERYWHERE - schools, gyms, money etc.... and it is an opportunistic bacteria that will look for a break in your skin and just go crazy. There are two types - the street version, and the hospital version. The hospital version is of course worse, but they are both painful none the less, and you don't want it to get into your blood stream and lungs etc.......Dangerous scary stuff.
If if were me, I would take the silly thing out of your nose and forget about it. I'm sure that you are more beautiful without the distraction / dis-figuration of it all anyway. Just my personal opinion, no offense - I just ever understood the sense of piercings and/or tattoos, and smoking. Your body is a temple! Treat it as if it is as special as it is, your son needs you to be there for a long time - you owe it to him to take care of yourself! Good luck.
